The Alamo
Oct 9th, 2008 at 10:26pm

Good people of Clusterville… Movie goers, and TV watchers of old…  we’re at the point in the movie plot of “The Alamo” where Davy Crockett shows up in San Antonio to lend his help, flintlock and powder horn in hand.…  (John Wayne played Davy in the 1960 movie version and Fess Parker did it in 1955 in the Disney TV version…  )

No matter which version you remember and no matter how much we hoped it would turn out better, we all knew how these two movies and real story ended…   (For you youngsters…  the good guys got greased by Santa Anna…  No survivors).

Tomorrow the stock markets and financial institutions will dive off farther into the money pit abyss and they’ll continue doing so until we the people and the markets regain some semblance of confidence…

I think that’s a reasonable approximation of our present situation with the subprime meltdown, lack of liquidity, frozen credit, and failing financial institutions…

Unfortunately, we now have the Federal Government showing up like Davy Crockett in a pink coonskin hat  with a flintlock and powder horn full of funny money in an invoice made out to us tax payers past, present, and future…  And guess what?  The amount due is still blank…  but we know it will surely be over a Trillion Dollars!!!  And the Marxists love it…   Now they want more money thrown at the problem so they can have even bigger government and more control…  (Read less freedom for you and me.)

Nowhere in the Constitution does it say the Legislative or the Executive Branch gets to play Davy Crockett with the stock market or financial markets like Warren Buffett or George Soros…

If you’ll read the Oath of Office sworn to by these folks…  you’ll see the words “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…”

Well folks…  we’ve a lot of domestic enemies that got us into this pile of shit.   They’ve done more financial damage than all the wars this nation has fought in its existence.  We’ve taken losses as a percentage of the GDP in the last two weeks, that make this the most costly financial war we’ve ever faced…  and it’s only going to get worse…  In short, and as Walt Kelly used to say in Pogo Possum…  “We Have Met the Enemy and He is Us.”

There will be no semblance of the confidence we desperately need until we see a lot of the guilty bastards televised on all the networks doing the purp-walk in orange jumpsuits and manacles straight into the slammer for a long, long time… like life…  That’s the role we need to see the government play and tut suite.   I’m sure there’s no shortage of big sweaty guys with tat’s waiting for the opportunity to show these crooks the finer aspects of social life behind bars…

The inquisition needs to start at the top with Barney Frank and Chris Dodd on their knees in front of the world and high courts answering how and why all this happened on their watch as chairpersons of the two primary congressional committees put in place to prevent shit like this from happening…  They need to ‘splain WTF happened to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and why the CEOs of these two organizations received preferential treatment from the majority, as well as handsome golden parachutes for screwing all of us while they made grandiose contributions to mostly Democratic Senators like Chris Dodd and the chosen one, the Obamaniod.

So we also want to see Jim Jonson, and Franklin D. Raines on their knees too.  We want to see them ‘splain how they cooked the books to get their hundreds of millions in bonuses over the last 5 to 10 years for running the two largest GSEs into the dirt… and taking us with them.  We also want to know how much these two really sent to support the chosen one, the Obamaniod in his shady bid to buy the White Hose. And, how about all the Obamaniod contributions from all over the world…  That ain’t cricket Crockett!

While we’re at it…  We need to see the Fed’s de-nut ACORNE and void any and all bogus voter registration cards they submitted in at least 10 or more states…  and while they’re doing that, the Feds need to connect the dots to tell us who’s been responsible for sending this stilted and tax exempt organization our tax dollars.  Methinks we’ll see the name Dodd at the top of the list…  It’s a matter of record…

The really troubling thing that bothers me most is the spread of socialism led by the Marxists…  And the Obamaniod is one of them…  It’s a matter of record…  you only need to read how he’s voted…  The part about killing babies that survive botched abortions is a really neat part of the liberal culture…

Remember your history lessons… The Communist Manifesto suggested a course of action for a proletarian (working class) revolution to overthrow the bourgeois social order and to eventually bring about a classless and stateless society, and the abolition of private property.”  Sound familiar with the Marxists tricking GW into playing the pink-o…  He pisses me off too…

Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of blame to go around and I’m particularly pissed at the Republicans for not taking a moral stand long ago against all the excess spending well beyond revenues instead of joining the Marxist sweat hogs at the earmark trough.

The candidate that makes the promise to hold the guilty bastards accountable and stop government payments to illegal aliens to the tune of several hundred billion each year in Federal assistance, welfare, social security, and in-state tuition will get my vote…  And Confidence…

We saw a little of that today at a rally in Waukesha, Wisconsin, when Senator McCain, named names…  like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd as being responsible for the Fannie and Freddie melt down, in response to a question from the audience…

P.S.  We all know the Obamaniod would never do anything like that against illegal aliens…  After all, pandering for votes is second nature to the chosen one…  When he’s not funneling money to ACORN to stuff the ballot boxes...

Again, good people of Clusterville…  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it…  You can put this in a mayonnaise jar and bury it in the back yard, or toss it in the trash… Machs Nicht …  You know I’m very close to being spot on…

Take care…  and watch the Titanic go down again tomorrow…  and again… until we see justice served…

V/R, Batch

HOORAH!

I just couldn't sit and watch that last debate. I kept getting images of Stalin screaming at the masses every time the chosen one spoke. Put that creep in a brown shirt with braces and jackboots. I am so sick to death of all of these so called "saviors" of our country...liberal slack-jawed lemmings. I live near, and work for a pretty big university. Its just chocked full of "lefties" hollering help. "Pay for my schooling", "pay for my house", "pay for my healthcare". well kiss my hard working ass. I am so scared to death of a communist state that I would seriously leave this country that I fought for and love if he gains office. FREAKIN YIKES!

Let everyone of those CEO's, CFO's and UFO's fail. Televise the trials and stonings. Now let's abolish the IRS, Fed Reserve, and all of those money sponge jobs they create in DC. Let's base the currency on something tangible. This circular debt based crap is getting scary. Hang on to something solid, it's goin down!

I wish I could vote 100 times against that clown and his cronies.

I will rant to myself now.

RIGHT ON BATCH!

all I got is insane,
Eric

Do nothing is the solution.

Get ready to return to the barter system. I say let the jackasses see what they've done and try to wade out of it. A big septic pile of financial crap is what they can have. I for one am prepared to trade buttons or welding jobs for staple foods and what-nots. I can't see where an endless flow of the nations tax dollars given to these businesses, rewarding them for failing, is going to accomplish anything short of pissing me off. I don't work for Fannie, or Freddie. Why should I care that they suck at the finance. I say let them eat their own crow. They bought the ticket and the plane is crashing. bye bye.

Looks like you got all the buzzwords, Pete.  'cept you forgot 'mushroom cloud'.

I'd still give you an A for this recital, though.

One difference with the communist manifesto though - instead of the working class standing up and revolting, they are being wiped out because we all know there's only us and them, us the workers, and them the ones with the money.

Too bad Warren Buffett  backed the bailout, I actually liked him having met him.  I've been telling Clark for the near 10 years we've been married and I've lived in this country, you're witnessing history, the 2nd fall of Rome to be specific.  As to the illegal aliens, I won't even start, it's cost me over $5k to live in this country legally and I *STILL* don't get picked on the lottery for naturalizations....

So I can't vote in Nov. - but I can tell you that there's this document, it's moving and powerful and is representative of the people, it guarantees the people will always have the power to change things if they go bad - it's called the Constitution of the United States of America, and my husband has also sworn to Defend and uphold it against all enemies foreign and domestic....

An officer was once asked right after a re-enlistment ceremony, what would you do if the Chief Commander gave you a direct order that was in direct violation of the constitution?  His response? I'd shoot the president.

PROTECT THAT DOCUMENT You truly have no idea how much it means - I lived in Canada - not a 3rd world country, but even in Canada there is a federal police force (RCMP) who have something called a Queen's Writ allowing them to search and seize anywhere anytime without a court warrant.  That shouldn't be possible in the US.

I love my own country, but I love this one too, my husband has been deployed to 'war' 5 times to defend that piece of paper.  Don't waste the lives of the men and women who have promised to defend it, educate the ones who don't know what it means, and then vote and demand accountability - the constitution promises you that much.

Ok end rant....

Cat

p.s. Reader's Digest did an interview with both potential first ladies - I don't know if it's available online, but Mrs. Obama scared the crap outta me and that's hard to do....

One thing about this country is that everyone has ONE vote and a right to express themselves. But what we forget - as a free nation we also have a "right" to stand up to our elected officials and say "NO" this is NOT why we elected you and if you don't do what WE want we're going to get rid of you.

Years ago we had the Sherman Anti-Trust Act and it worked pretty good, but we began deregulation to the point that I'm not sure anyone even remembers it anymore.

My opinion is that anyone who makes a CAREER of being in Congress NEEDS to be wearing an orange jump suit and meeting the nice guys in cellblock C or D. And it should be totally BI-partisan. This problem didn't arise in the last couple of years -- it's been coming for decades - why is everyone so surprised? When the American people quit paying attention to what our "leaders" were doing - we became a part of the problem, so we're also to blame.

All I can say is that all self respecting Americans should get off their apathetic rears on Nov 4th and get to the polls and vote the way they "believe" and hope for the best. I know that's what I'm going to do. I just hope I vote for the winner and that I'm right.

Hugs BD

Call me a cynic, but that and $1.69 will get you a cup of coffee. But you better have the cash.
