Those are the first people I thought of too Linda.  I feel your pain Jonny about the mortgage, but I do have an ipod.  I'd be lost without it.

I'm more concerned about being able to afford a digital ready TV to replace this 25 year old one that is going to be obsolete come February.

I've owned this thing since before I was married, and I've been divorced for 15 years now.

Still works fine after all these years...but Feb. will be the end of it's usefulness.  So I'll just have to watch TV online an hour after the shows air.

Buy a converter box for the (hopefully short time) I'm short on money?  That seems to me to be a wasted expense.

I'm not a "need it NOW" type.  I can make due till I can afford what I want, or what I can manage.

Just tryin' to provide options, my friend. You don't need it until Feb. 2009, and if you apply for a coupon from the Feds, it costs something like $40.

But you gotta apply for the coupon now - before they're gone.

He said it was a 1 of a kind.  Only need 1 celeb to buy it as a status symbol and that's sold.

I think it would make a VERY nice wedding present from my Sweetie ... Especially after what he did to my car ...

Chuck, looking sweet and demure ...
