I dunno. It sorta looks like Lewiston (north of New Meadows) from the top of the hill coming into town to me... Wink

Gotta love those runaway truck ramps on the downhill side of the Lewiston grade--I always thought they looked like launching pads.

Great pics Johnny! I love the area out in New Mexico with the mountains all around the towns. The pics reminded me of this song....

thanks for checking out my pics. my cell phone was getting full and i had to clean it out.

the town in idaho was lewiston. it goes 4 lane were it winds down through the canyon. when you look down on that town it's like being in an airplane. the houses look like monopoly houses. montana makes you feel like a tiny speck in a huge land. the mountains there are ridiculously big and way far apart. lots of long rolling hills. the people that live there are some of the nicest, coolest people i've ever met.

satellite radio has some good old country channels. some good ole truck drivin music really compliments the scenery.

truck driving is a kind of drug i guess. once you get a taste for the open road it's hard to get away from. i've been around it my whole life i'll see were it takes me. hopefully someday i'll be set up good enough to be an agent and hang around the house a little more. right now i'm tickled to death just to have a job. the trucking industry is in a bit of a slump right now.

Geeze, it is too bad that you work keeps you so busy, that you can't do some traveling around ... Heehee ..

It looks like the most of your territory is in the western states, with a few back east here. If you ever get to eastern North Carolina, I BETTER get a call from ya! I know a nice place ta eat, that is jes a'waitin' fer ya ta show up! (HELL no, not my house! - - PB&J is about the most ya kin find THERE to eat!)

Johnny, I told you you've got to quit that stuff! I'm trying hard to be happy staying home! (I am happy being home, but you are making me really miss the road!)

I remember that pic from Utah! That is a sculpture of a tree made up of orbs, with a couple of "broken" ones on the ground. It sits on the Bonneville Salt Flats just west of Salt Lake City. In the sunlight the salt is almost blinding.

That shot from MM66 in Wyoming is great too! It is like that all the way from there to Green River. Bare and dry, but beautiful.

I really enjoyed driving across Montana on the Hi-Line (Hwy 2) just south of the Canadian border. There is a spot out there that I tried to get to at night, because you could see for about 50 miles any direction and on a clear night you could not see a man made light anywhere! The starlight (without the moon) was so bright you could make out words on a page. Not quite enough to read by, but close. I'd just sit and enjoy the stillness and solitude for about 30 minutes before starting back up and rolling.

us 2 huh. i've never been up that way. your one up on me there jerry . Wink

i was on us 191 out in arizona though. north of that mine it was impassable for trucks and had to head back south to i 10 then north on i25 in los cruces. us 191 runs runs into lnto lewiston where the bbz live. i haven't been on that stretch either but i'm still a greenhorn. i'll get up that way eventually. driving in montana reminds me that i am a tiny tiny spec here on gods green earth.
