That sounds reasonable to me.
I mean, who doesn't get $150k worth of clothes for her and her family to tide them over for 3 months?
I relate to Palin.  She represents me, and my middle-class-hockey-dad struggle.

Then become a Vice-Presitential candidate for one of the major political parties.

Also note that it is RNC money, not McCain campaign money.  Kinda like Obama's big screens and Greek pillars.

It's no different than any other "prop" like lighting, backdrops, PA  and projection equipment. Sure, it's a lot of money to us - but not to most people who spend that many hours in the public eye.

I read that the expensive items will be auctioned off after the election, potentially pulling a profit. Now that makes sense.

Exactly, Brian.  And I bet you wear Gucci and Armani when you and the kidling go to the park on Saturdays  Wink?

Maybe she can auction off her clothes and take a basic lesson in government?  Or hell, if McCain is elected, she can wear her new clothes while she takes charge of the Senate and helps make all those policy changes?

No one can deny that she's easy on the eyes. No one can deny that perhaps she should practice what she preaches to Joe Six Pack and wife; the Soccer Mom who's wardrode spending is considerabley less.

Someone said: "Doesn't she shoot her wardrobe?"  Wink Cool

I suppose Obama bought his suits at Walmart?  How shallow do you have to be?

Obama is planning a $2MILLION party in Chicago's Millenium Park following the election.  I think that is about what I spent for my son's HS graduation party.  What is the deal?

It's pathetic to focus on her clothes as an issue.  Give me a break.  Like Obama doesn't spend money on clothes.  For fucks sake... this is a truly idiotic, moronic, pathetic, useless, bullshit story designed to distract people from the abomination that is Barack Obama.  I would bet nobody has ever questioned what Barack spent on his suits.  Unbelievable.  Truly a new low.

Oh, this actually doesn't bug me as much as a lot of people, it's just that Joe Six Pack's wife ain't gonna like it much.

Shit, Obama & Co. have nothing on the Republicans when it comes to slime and stupid smears in this brawl.

Barack Obama has never said he was a working class schmuck.

If he said how he was just like me and just like most Americans who literally have to budget for food, and then spent $150k on clothes for him and his kids, then yes, I am sure people would question the 'just like me' crap.

Just like when John Edwards tries to pretend he is a typical American and knows our struggles.  He gets called out on his $400 haircuts and massive mansion.

Correct.  The Constitution states that the Vice President shall act as "President" of the Senate.

President - one who presides over
Preside - to occupy the place of authority or control, as in an assembly or meeting; act as president or chairperson.

Looks to me like she would be running the Senate under the Constitution.

Major difference.  Edwards spent that money, Palin didn't.

Any regular Joe would take the clothes.   She is on TV all the time and if she looked like a typical hockey mom, would be criticized for not looking "Presidential"

She is in a no win situation here.  She is either a sly barracuda or stupid.  She is either too folksy or not really a hockey mom.

I am not one who likes the choice of Palin at all but it is beginning to become embarrassing the amount of crap the dems are spewing about everything Palin after whining about the tone of McCain's campaign.

Folks, look at the facts.

A vote for Obama is not a vote for the Obama plan, it's a vote for the democratic platform IN IT'S ENTIRETY.   A vote for McCain is a vote for a mix of both plans since McCain can do nothing without help from the Dems.

Now, could we stop with all the smokecscreens about wardrobe spending, who paid for whose law school, where people are born, the pastors of each candidate, and all that other crap.
