Where does all this conservative stuff come from on this board? Conservative I understand but this stuff isn't conservative. It comes out of talk radio's worst practitioners. We all know that it's the Rush Limbaugh side that makes the most noise. Still, some of the stuff here comes right out of Dennis Miller's end of the spectrum.

There is a big difference between simple and simplistic.

Um, I would prefer to listen to NPR than hear Rush, Charlie. Much of my information comes from reading many articles from both the left and right.

Read what Obama has said and written in the past, his views, learn who his mentors were, who his friends are and what his voting reccord is. THAT information will give a person a pretty good idea of the character and beliefs of an individual.

Charlie,

Those of us who have the luxury of viewing the videos that are found and posted of past Obama speeches or other factual data probably have a more learned perspective on Obama than those who can't.

In my opinion, this is one of the factors that the Obama camp is counting on... the class warfare bullshit only works well on those who can't find out the real facts on Obama. Since their media isn't telling the truth and they don't have access to the other sources that will publish it (like LiveLeak), they are easier to manipulate than the more critical thinkers who do have access to that information.

I don't listen to Rush, but sometimes I read about what he has recently said, and it makes me do my own research. Same deal for NPR (which my car radio tends to gravitate towards mostly because I can't stand commercials). I can listen to those left wing nut jobs and still form my own opinion just as well as I can listen to right wing nut jobs and form my own opinion.

Obama is not qualified to be president (subjective statement, don't throw technical BS into it, I'm saying I don't believe he is presidential material), he has too many questionable relationships, and I fundamentally disagree on his policies. He represents everything that is wrong with the left. That is my own opinion, not Rush, not Hannity, not yours. Mine. I don't agree with everything that McCain says, and I think he is an a-hole for voting yes on the bailout, but the only way for me to not effectively vote for Obama is to vote for McCain, and I can live with that.

I just began with NPR. I'm not a regular. I never listen to radio during the day other than news. I never have my sound on here for that matter. I susupect it has something to do with my seizures. My father had them too and he was the same way. I just don't like the competition I guess. Cool

Anyway, you guys have worn me out. Trying to watch Buffalo news broadcasts during the election is barely worth it. I've never seen anything this bad. I'm referring to State elections. This is the first time in many years that the NYS Senate may switch from GOP to Democrat and it's a bloodbath. Our State politics makes the national look like a cub scout meeting. Geeze.
