One for AMERICANS....
Oct 30th, 2008 at 1:13pm

I've been having trouble with my DSL and everytime I call in I get someone I cannot understand (English NOT being their first language) to "help" me fix the problem.

I LOST it about 5 a.m. this morning to some (I"m sure) very nice guy who I could understand about 1 out of 4 words he was saying (this was after I was knocked off the net about the 4th time!).

Anyhow the nice (local) guys arrived later this morning to figure out that there was indeed a problem here (and are still trying to figure out what it is), but while they were here I was complaining about the non-english speaking tech support.

I was told that they had been complaining also and that as of Nov. 1st all the tech support would be moved to KY and ENGLISH would be spoken FIRST! All Americans hired! That MY DSL service would NOT be outsourcing anymore. One SMALL step for the US!!!

Maybe complaining enough does help!

I dont care about accents and such, if they can somehow get the job done.

I haven't had much luck with Tech support from India in that regard so I hope a lot of this outsourcing will end.

LMAO....when I read that..I said to myself, "surely they can't be thinking of out-sourcing to Kentucky."   but I guess I was wrong.   Grin

Hey, I speaks "southern" - If they just talks slow - I can understand... (if they talks on a third grade level - no prob with KY).  Smiley

PS - I just hate it when they ask, "Is your computer PLUGGED in to a wall socket?"
