You to Mel!

27 years ago today I met my Wife Barb at a Holloween party.
When I kissed her goodbye this morning, I said "Happy Anniversary" and she looked at me like I was crazy! LOL

I guess guys aren't the only ones who forget important dates Cheesy

Maybe it was to scary for her to remember! Grin

Punkin Soup

An inch of water in a saucepan with far too much chopped onion and garlic - cover and high-simmer for 20mins.

Fill to top with chunks of peeled punkin, cover and high-simmer for 20mins.

Whip briefly until smooth then add salt, pepper, powdered chicken-stock and lashings of roughly-cut bacon. Bring back to simmer and start adding cream.

One hour, start to finish.

Happy Halloween!!  Since my kids a grown and going to parties, my hubby is on a fishing trip, and I live in the country where we get no trick or treaters, I'm gonna enjoy a quite evening at home with the dogs. (Why did the kids have to grow up!  Undecided)

Be safe out there!

It is going to be a beautiful night for ghosts and goblins!  It is 75% here right now so tonight should be great!

I have one that will trick or treat.  She is ten and is going as the Queen of Hearts.  Daddy says that it is to "provocative"  but I think that it looks darling.  He'd have her go as a nun if he had his way!

I got a new camera for my B-day so I'll try to post her pics. ( if I can figure it out)

Have fun and be safe!

I was suppose to go for a night bike ride at the cycling center where I ride tonight but I do not have a good enough light package so I opted to stay home and hand out the sugar, I mean candy, and Angie is working until 9:30pm.

I have had, lets see, hmm, 5 kids and one mom so far. I bought enough stuff for 80 kids, what do I do with all this sugar, I mean candy? Cheesy LMAO Grin

Happy Halloween everyone! And Trick or Treat! Wink

I actually more kids here tonight than I've had total in all the years I've lived here.

The all came within the first hour and it's been quiet since.  Very little candy left. Enough for 6 more kids.

Pegg, send them here Grin

There is a teen age dance at the new, this year, High School just up the road. I have a feeling the excitement is about to come. I am staying up late tonight.
Thank goodness for extra police presence on this main road tonight. I just want them to have a great and safe night. The stars are out and not too cold.

Fun thread. Cool

I'm glad it's over for the night now.  There is just enough left that when Dyl gets home from working at the Haunted Mill, scaring the people out of their skins, he can get a good sugar rush.

My niece Janet and her daughter Julie stopped by and that was cool. Janet is going to a Halloween/costume party and contest later so I am cheering for her. Kinda gave me the creeps though trying to talk seriously to her. Cheesy

That makes 7 tonight so far. Smiley
Here is a pic of the two of them.

Only 16 kids tonight. Kinda sad really. Kids rarely come now without parents or an adult. When I was a kid all the kids just took off.  No fun being around watching mom and dad passing out all that candy. Best 2 costumes coming to my door (outside of my pirate trio) were a Clothes Dryer and a spaghetti dinner (table, silverware, candles....... it was amazing)

Best group was a bunch of kids like 2-4 years old dressed up like the cast from Grease...... it was awesome
