I dont care if we have to wait 30 days to find out who won if it means EVERY serviceman/woman has THE OPPORTUNITY to vote.

It would be disgusting if even 1 soldier was not given a chance to vote because they were serving our country.

I would hope BOTH candidates would join together to make sure these votes are counted.

No, it should NOT be this way. We're spending so damn much money over there WHY NOT send some BALLOTS with voting officials to Let the troops vote (just like at home) (paper ballots for each state) and BRING THEM HOME and see that they get to the RIGHT PLACE in time to count.

But that would make sure and be a simple solution wouldn't it.

My FIRST suggestion to whoever wins is that Congress STAY in session more than 86 or 87 days a year and GET SOMETHING DONE!!! Seems that they NEVER finish anything. I've never heard of so many bills being introduced and then just dying cause Congress went into recess. 4 weeks vacation ought to be enough for anyone. We're paying them to WORK - bout time they started.

Everyone should be pissed about this attrosity and should let those guys in DC know about it. Even if it does delay the results of the election.

Hugs BD

There is always a problem getting votes out for troops in theater.  This has been going on ever since I can remember being concerned with the military vote.  It could get fixed if it were a priority for either of the major parties.  But sadly it's not.  Just goes to show you that they really don't respect freedom, nor the price the sons and daughters of our nation pay for it.  Just another reason to justify my vote this time around.

My son Chris who is stationed in California but remains a Wisconsin resident voted abcentee this year.  He called us up a couple of days ago wanting advice on who to vote for because he didn't know what any of them stood for except for the president.  So we looked up the candidates online did some deep research and read what they stood for on there own websites in there own words.  Then he made a decision  on who to vote for and I did the same.  I was very glad to hear that he had taken the time to request the ballot and make an informed opinion.

That's impressive, Karla.  It's good to make the effort to know who you are voting for, he did good.

You are absolutley right Mel, it should not be like this EVER!!!  This makes me sick.  The priorities in this country are so fucked up.  Everyone, especially those fighting for our freedom and right to vote should be able to vote.

Obama could win some respect if he joined McCain in Virginia in this fight.  How nice would it be to see the 2 get together and stand up for our fighting men and women right after the election.  It wont effect this outcome but now is the time to make sure the future is done right.

Ya know, you bring up something very important. Perhaps McCain losing isn't so bad for republicans. If McCain can get th democrats, who now control EVERYTHING, to let them play ball, the US governemnt might actually get something done for the first time in 8 years.
