I am sooo sorry for what you are going through right now. It is such a rough thing loosing a grandmother. I lost mine 13 years ago. She was an amazing woman and not a day goes by that I don't think about her. God will give you the strenth to go on. Prayer has amazing power.

The pain is gone. For her anyways. My mind is numb so I really don't know what to say. My head hurts(haha) and my eyes are sore. I'm just getting home from her house after being there since around 2:30. Dad came and got me from school early so I knew it was all over. My family is taking it rough and we're all just really tired. Just thought those that care should know. My grandfather is fighting hard and I've never before seen the big man cry. I'm pretty numb right now so I guess that's all. I posted this before but I wanted to put it up again in memory of her. Thank you for the support and love you all have given me the past few weeks. It means the world to me and you'll never truly know. And though I'm not to smiling just yet, I will be hopefully soon. Here is Fly Away.

On feathered white wings,
I watch you fly away.
To a glowing place,
where cherib angels play.

Tears fill my eyes,
as I stare into the sun.
Scared and now so alone,
with no one or where to run.

The sky opens up,
just enough for you to slip through.
Then closes behind you,
me left wondering what to do.

Where do I go from here?
With no you to light my way.
Why did you have to leave?
While I have to stay.

It's not fair damn it!
I hit the ground, scraping my knee.
My heart shakes with sobs.
I only pray that you can't see.

Don't see my weakness,
be blind to my pain.
Your own tears come down,
they drench me in the rain.

You're missing me,
only half as much as I miss you.
I have your memory,
but only the real thing will do.

The sky is closed and dark now,
out of life you've gone away.
I can smile now though,
because I know you can stay.

Felicia,
On Oct 29, after 103 yrs on this earth, I watched my grandmother peacefully slip away. I have a hole in my world, just like you do.
Somehow, for you as well as for me, this hole will slowly fill with the wonderful memories we made with our Grandmas, and they will NEVER leave us. GG will be around, watching over those she loves, just like your Grandma will.
All we have to do is acknowledge the pain, then let the love we had for them bring us memories, and the holes in our worlds will beging to mend.
My deepest sympathy, Felicia,
Cathi

There is nothing like loosing your grandma. My heart remembers that pain even though it doesn't sting my thoughts as it did when mine first passed when I was 16.

Felicia I'm so sorry for your loss, please pass along my sympathy to all who loved and will miss your grandma. You will now have the special duty of memorializing your grandma in the way that only you can... your talent and clear voice will be a conduit which will forever let your grandma's love and influence shine.

Don't hold back the tears nor the laughter, they are the water and the wind that our hearts set sail upon.

with warm regards,
Tony
