Glad sleeping on the couch worked. It works more often than not for me, to sleep somewhere other than the bed I so adore!  My own bed is a promise to get hit in the first REM phase.

And please refrain from excessive vulgarities.  While this board has a long history and its own culture, it's still a publicly viewable board with variety of people participating.  I feel bad enough from exhaustion and the fear of the next attack, and I don't wish to be offended here.  What we need is mental strength which doesn't equate to verbal (written) profanity.

Chris, congratulations on getting through a hit without the use of morphine!

I can't wait to see what happens when you finally have O2. Smiley

yeah, i thought this site was about coming some place you can post to people who are going through what you are. so you can express how you are feeling at that time, and your brothers and sisters can relate to you. therefore making it a little bit easier to deal with the pain and everything else that goes with this fucking illness we are so blessed to have. that was the impression i got. if i am wrong please let me know, i dont want to hurt any feelings.

Got the message, everybody.  If the freedom of speech and support only works one way, I shall refrain myself from further participation.

I did not re-join this community for handholding (have had CH for long enough for that) but to share experiences and information with fellow sufferers, the only people who truly know the pain and frustration.  While I wholeheartedly believe in venting and relieving the stress, I have a sense of public decency.  Some need to curse, some need gentle support, and some only need information.  There should be some kind of a "middle ground", but it is my opinion which you guys gave a "finger" to.

I also believe in raising the public and professional awareness through community building, to gain support and interest in research to further understand this cursed disorder, as well as helping the undiagnosed, newly diagnosed, and long-term fellow sufferers.

I might "appear" to be a tight-ass, but my CH attacks are just as painful as anybody else's, I curse probably as much as others in real life, and I am as angry, frustrated, stressed, and depressed as anybody else over this.  I am disappointed to learn that the "freedom of expression" and support only applied in a certain way.  I certainly don't need "you vs. us" in dealing with CH.

We are all adults here. I dont use profanity as a rule. I dont however tell others they cant. I respect your desire for civility. I also respect Chris's right to express himself.
We are helping others, Chris included. I would think that you, being a clusterhead, would understand using profanity to vent when dealing with CH. Please dont go anywhere, if you find profanity you dont have to read it. Simply click on another thread and read there.
I wish all the best to all the best

I think you misunderstood, Ma'am.  You have just as much freedom to express as anyone else.  You can express anything you want, in whatever way you want, so long as it doesn't upset Mrs. Deej and her sidekick.

Yes you do..now having said that, you have been here 1 month, many of us have been here daily for 9-10 years. Many of us have met many times. You are just as welcome as anyone here, but if cursing offends you on a message board then unfortumetly you will be offended quite alot.

PS.....I hardly ever curse, but to tell those who come on here and are in pain and venting not to..... sounds condescending.

No need to apologize, Chris, and thank you for understanding.  All I'm asking is mutual respect (note, that I said "excessive").  No matter how our lives differ from each other's, we all share the same pain.  If sharing little tricks and tips might help you or anybody in any way, my whole CH life is wide open.  I just don't believe in "if it's offensive, go to another thread or stay away" is the answer as a support community.  Otherwise I wouldn't have told you in your thread about my experience with different sleeping spots.

Clusterheadaches.com is the place we all come to to:

Rant about the pain
Wail
Get support when we are on our knees
Give support when we are back on our feet
Get friends in the same situation
Share thoughts, hopes and beliefs

Clusterheadaches.com is not the place to come to if:

You want to sell "magic powder"
you want cuddly caring talk
You are offended by hard words by people in pain similar to amputation without painrelief.

Awoken at 5 in the morning for the 4th time by a k10, I say fuck the fucking fuckers! And to hell with courtesy!

it is rather nice to see im not along in cursin this fuckning beast, as i come away from that bastard. i did so good yset. and this morning he came and kicked my ass big time. the deamon made up for missing a day. why is it like that, if you are able to abort the pain, or go a day without a visit, the next time is so much worse than it would have been if you you just opened the door, let him in , and do his deed? God this such misarible, unneeded pain. this is bullshit. sorry, the beast is leaving, and he beat me down. looks like a bad start to the day. although i slept GREAT lastnight, maybe thats my punishment, i got to sleep. why isnt there a way to just make this baeast happy. insted his happiness comes from making you feel like shit. grrrrrrr......im so over this.....all the pain and needless suffering. i hate this fuckind disease. i hate it. why cant i have a lisp, or a speach problem, why cant that be my problem. something that doesnt cause pain.

One thing no one has mentioned thus far is this:

Fuck is DJ's favorite word.   DJ runs this site...not you nor me.  If he says it's o.k. then dang it...IT'S O.K.!

I also don't believe in swearing just for swearings sake... but Mrs. T you really need to get a hang of where you are at.  This pain can cause the most church-going person to swear.  Sometimes I believe it's even cathartic.

You have no right here to tell us what to say or not to say. This is NOT your site.  It's DJ's.  and this site has saved more lives than you will ever realize.  I think "MY" God kind of likes that!!!!!!!!!(the saving lives part)

Take what you need and leave the rest, m'dear.
