Maybe I missed the post, but what exactly is a "global moderator?"

I don't get it...

We moderate the globe. I thought that was pretty self-explanatory.  Wink

This is a perfect time for me to explain the whole Global Moderator situation.

After long consideration and due to the high volume of posts, we have asked for a little help.  Too often posts go astray without our knowledge (ie, personal attacks, newbies being burned at the stake...etc.  ), so we have asked that the Global Moderators contact us if these situations were to arise.

Global Moderator responsibilities:

1) Monitor the board for any of the posts I have described above.

2) They are able to lock threads if needed. At which point they will contact DJ and/or myself for review.

Global Moderators
DO NOT
:

1) Have the authority to modify profiles
2) Have the authority to delete profiles
3) Have the authority to delete threads

Some days we get over 500 new posts, we just don't want things to start slipping through the cracks!!

Cool - no more global warming then!!!! (edited for spelling)

(When is Madisonville changing its name to Clusterville?  If you AND Linda are going to be there it might be a draw for a cluster community . . . )

Ah, I see.  Hope it works.  I just wonder who is going to monitor the moderators on on the same level and what guidelines will be used?
