Skiing season is open!
Nov 30th, 2008 at 3:00am

Skiing season is open…….. and I am off to ski, Marta said I am nuts going skiing, being still sore from the surgery and the wounds not totally healed, and one more surgery to go…..  But I cant help it, I am nuts and I know I am reckless, but what is life with out fun…. I try to live between the CH episodes and treatments, even if its at times some what questionable…..I just love the snow, and love skiing / boarding….

Happy to see you survived your skiing, nice pic Wink

I do not ski or board, but I sure do a lot of snow shoveling and according to the weather office I am going to be right in my element Angry

The main problem here is keeping the hydro on, as this is a record year for power losses due to storms. I live right in town but the rural area's can go for days on end without electricity.

Not a fan of winter. Sad

Michael, I love the picture and glad you survived!!

Skiing is such a freeing thing, there's nothing like slaloming down the side of a hill (I'm not a mountain gal, lol) hearing the snow swoosh and feeling the cold, crisp air hit your face.  It's like time stands still just for a little while and it's just you, the sun and the snow... Smiley

I'd rather ski than anything else.....a good day on the slopes is as close to heaven as one can get here on earth.  Wink

Paul, that was funny Grin Grin

I see they turned us to a red page warning now for a bad weather system moving in! Smiley Power is going to be an issue as the trees are already loaded with snow and now this is moving in! Smiley

Paul - that's brilliant!  Couldn't have said it better.

Barry - keep that damned white stuff north of Highway 89, okay?  We've got a little right now but our weather screen is on "red alert" as well.  Joy to the world! Cheesy

Hi Barry
I have been watching the warning today and it has started coming down here already. I don't know where I am going to put any more snow. I have 4 feet on the front lawn all ready....I am not kidding...we have more in this part of the city than anywhere else around....three blocks away they only have one foot!...20 miles south nothing but green grass!...I guess i better go out and gas up the snow blower.

We don't get much in South Carloina, no mountains anyway.  I did get to ski in Colorado one time.  Spent 3 days on the slopes.  I couldn't even lay in the bed the last night.  Had to get a pot of coffee, some baileys and get in the jacuzzi.  Good to go to the airport the next day.
I love it!!! Grin
