It's gonna be a GREAT Day!
Dec 7th, 2008 at 10:37am

It's 9:30 am. I made a big pot of venison chili this morning because it's cold out, the Packers are playing, I cleaned and decorated my rec. room yesterday for our Family Christmas party and Barb is on the road headed to Neenah, Wi. for a Church function.

I don't have anything to do except sit in my chair and bitch at the TV when the game is on! Wink

I may get out of the chair to get a beer or a bowl of chili, but why? My boys are home and need to earn their keep! Cheesy

What ya'll doin today?

Well, I don't feel like getting off my fat butt to do anything, but I have a list made that includes making chili, cleaning the family room and putting up the tree this evening.

That's inbetween regular day to day stuff. Tongue

Taking Meg to spend some time and have dinner at her boyfriend Graham's place, ...doing laundry,... and hoping the white car is out of the parking lot (need the space to get in and attach the cables.) so Dyl and I can try to jump start his car.  Something is draining his battery and we cant figure it out.

We are playing snow day at my house since my van is in the shop.

I'll make a pork roast.

Watch lots of random football.

Stay in jammies all day.

(we have no snow, thats why we are pretending)

Laundry, grocery shopping and the most importantly teaching our puppy not to crap all over the house..... If that doesn't happen soon, my hubby might start rubbing MY nose in it

DEEJ!!!  Can you delete the above posts?  They used that four letter word (that begins with "S" and ends with "W") THREE times!!!  That is not allowed, is it?

Going out to plant ten more new trees (little 5 gallon size) in the warm sunshine today. For this afternoon we've got some good looking Porterhouse steaks to go on the grill.

Life is good.

I'm baking a gluten free banana/walnut cake for Gordon.
Have to give Peanut a bath.
Preparing my Peapod grocery list, then try attempt to clean and organize the mess which used to be my bedroom.
I was gonna go for a walk with Peanut, but we started out and ran back in...too cold.
Hopefully get some computer work in and a few minutes on the treadmill.  We're eating leftovers and then i'll finally crash in bed and watch House re-runs.

Have a nice day.  Smiley

Going to a Christmas open house at sis-in-law's place.  One thing I look forward to every year.  She's an amazing cook and the goodies are endless.  Wearing the "eat more" pants and set to have a good time.

Hope the rest of you enjoy your day.

Barry stop shovelling!!!!!!!! AND don't send the damned stuff this way either.

Marc, I am starting to drool thinking about those grilled steaks.
Our grill doubles as a great cord caddy for the block heater in our car during the winter. Smiley I took that pic today.

Barry, I"d be laughing except for you not having your grill covered during the winter! Sad

Well, we sold 2 trees so far today, plus I made a batch of beanless hot chili and some cranberry/raisin bread.  I also had all 3 kids crowding surrounding me in the kitchen which made things harder to do.  Glad Jesse gets home soon!  *phew*

We have had two different covers for this thing and both cracked and literally fell apart once touched after they saw a few -30 to -40  degrees nights, so we just leave it on it's own and it does ok, so far! Smiley

Barry,

I don't see the problem. It's a four step process:

- Move the block heater extension cord
- Fire up the BBQ (You even have the spare propane ready I see)
- Throw on the meat
- Sit on top of BBQ to stay almost thawed until the meat is cooked

(never thought about about what happens to stuff like a vinyl cover when the temps get that low.  Do people really live there?)  Grin Grin

It was 73F (23C) here today. I hear that gets down to freezing temps in January/February. Maybe I'll have to break down and buy some long pants before then........
