RC seeds no help!!
Dec 8th, 2008 at 9:16am

Any suggestions for next steps? The RC seeds have not worked for me at all. I started with 20 seeds with zero effect. Then I waited and tried 50 seeds still zero effect? I'm at a loss and really need advise on next steps!

How have you been preparing the seeds?
Did you come off of other preventive meds?

I found soaking in white dry wine for 3 hours to be best, if a little alcohol won’t trigger for you… Grinding in the pepper mill gave me a much stronger dose compared to mashing… Make sure its on an empty stomach also. Add; you are drinking it seeds and all right?

Chuck, the wood rose seeds are extremely potent! Read all, and I mean all the advice and tips at clusterbusters first! I am confident that you have but feel compelled to pass it on again. The husks are poisonous and will make you sick… I believe I remember the 20X number used to describe your question.

Best, Roland. Wink

A few more details about yourself would be nice, KC. None of us here are doctors and we don't dispense medical advice, but we'll help any CHead that we can.

Firstly, and very importantly, have you been diagnosed as a ClusterHead?

The CT scans and MRIs are painless and a pain in the bum (if you'll excuse the expression). Nevertheless, they'll rule out many of the really horrible things that can mimic CH but are far more serious.

Have you yet to visit a neurologist familiar with the various headache types, or are you still battling the GP battle?

There's many medications available variably as preventatives or some that that might even stop a headache after it's started. Some are even entirely 'natural'.

An interesting one that springs to mind is just good ol' oxygen. Much easier to buy/grow/procure than some of the more unusual fungi.

The more you tell us, the more we can try to help.

Back to you,

B.

Hi Brian,
Oh yeah I've been a cluster head for nearly 20 years and have gone to the Diamond Headache clinic in Chicago for 11 years.

Been through two histinine treatments there for 11 day stretches. Been on every drug ever recommended for clusters through the clinic.

While living in Chicago, an angel sent me the shrooms to try and it was the first thing that ever worked for an extended period other than the histamine treatment.

Now in KY and trying the seed treatment with no luck yet. Headed back to Diamond for a shot of depomedral to break this cycle but I am cronic so it will not last long!

I've been cronic for over 10 years and imitrex injection has been my main treatment but now insurance has limited me to just 4 boxes per month and I'm running very low.

That's bloody awful, KC, and I don't blame you for a moment for reaching toward something that may help.

Keep us up-dated because we care.

Chuck, many spend weeks and weeks to find the effective dose.....  If your stomach can handle it, you might need more for seeds to be effective.

Also bad news is that seed's LSA content can vary as much as ten-fold, according to Dr. Sewell.  Until somebody comes up with a pill, unfortunately a lot of patience and experimentation is it.......

And with my recent experience I can say ditto to MrsT- also, if you are trying to break a cycle vs. prevent a cycle, you may have to dose 3 or 4 times for it to work- and wait 5 days between doses or it won't work.  Good luck!  It DID work for me!  (50 seeds)

Hi guys,

Don't want to hijack the thread but...... If use RC seeds to PREVENT my next cycle, when should I dose?  How much should I take?   My cycle usually starts in March.

I hope you have better success with the Wood Rose seeds, Chuck.

Be Well,

Jeannie
