Hey BobG. We want to have the next convention in Vegas. Can you sponser that?

I have never sponsored even a child's birthday party. I would have no idea what to do, where, who or anything about it. I'll be happy to 'help' but I’m afraid I'd be more in the way if organizing is needed.

How about naming a star after her?  Another one, but probably too late for right now.  If she likes roses, you can have a hybridizer name a rose after her.

wow, I thought it was my lucky day when I saw this thread.  I'm taking a half day from work to do some shopping for the wife.  Her birthday is the 19th as well.  I thought, "this thread may really help" as I tend to walk around the mall aimlessly every year.  get real pissed off and end up coming home with some type of kitchen appliance.

Bunch of knuckle heads around here   Wink  Somalian cruises!!!! I'm headed to the travel agent right now

Hey Kev,
If it's as cruise, complete with Pirates, just book the Caribbean...or Bahamas, they have Pirate parties(aka party barges) you can party till ya lose your cookies, and still be fairly safe.and, if ya REALLY want to get ripped off, there's always the shipboard casino! THERE! Why go to Somalia??

Oh, and, if all else fails, we are simple creatures, STEP AWAY FROM THE KITCHEN STORE.........just a few steps down you will find a jeweler..go for the blingage, ok?

Here to help!

ok I didn't think that Guiseppi was going to confess so here I was ready to post about the dance lessons....and then reading through all the really GREAT ideas ... I see he did. Honestly, he bought me a gift certificate at Arthur Murray for 5 private lessons, 5 group classes and 5 dances. Sadly for him he's still paying for that present, but for us it's been great. Got us through the kids growing up and not needing us any more, to then them going off to college, and now one is gone all the way to London. But we keep dancing and it keeps us happy. (Although now we dance at Fred Astaire - long story for a different day).

Now if you could all help my husband out with ideas since he already did that one!   Grin  After all, he still has to make up for that "disciplined" comment. Wink

My idea was already thrown out there.  Give a needy family a Christmas, gifts, food, and what not, in her name.  I used to get the family's name and particulars (sizes, children's names, children's likes) from a local church.

Another thing I used to do for her, is give her a wad of cash, to be used on HER!  Then I would take the cash back, and go with her to shop (and I HATE shopping!).  Otherwise, she would buy one thing for herself, and use the rest on the kids or the house.  I would go to make sure EVERY CENT was spent on herself!

Just a couple ideas ...

Now maybe you could fill me in on this St. Louis deal...is there an agenda....speakers?   i have not seen any program as such posted?? please direct me to the info....

I forgot to send you this information:

Read that thread.  There are no speakers (other than ourselves) or itinerary, just a group of us getting together for a meet'n'greet.  It is a GREAT time, that we all enjoy.  A time to meet, face to face, and just share stories or BS about WHATEVER!

Once you meet another clusterhead, you will never forget it!

And, yes, supporters will be there too, so your wife can talk with them, and share stories or ideas.

PLEASE come!  We would love to meet the two of you!

Chuck
