Anything short of the death penalty would be to good for her!

I have no idea if Caylee's mother did the killing or not. From what I have seen and read it sure looks like she did it. But, that is for the court to decide.

What I would like to know is what kind of person, mother or not, could look at that beautiful little face then kill her, stuff her in a bag and throw her away. It brings tears to my eyes each time I see Caylee's picture and know that some animal has hurt her so badly. 

I cried when I read the part in the news report "a skull with duct taped wrapped around it's mouth rolled out of the bag"

This woman is not human, and no amount of punishment is going to make it right.

Chloroform???? Now that's a capital offense in my book. What the hell is wrong with this NEW generation? You have kids and you take CARE of them.... Party days are over - kids come FIRST! Any babysitter who would cloroform a child needs to be sent up for life!!!! Or parent either for that matter.

This has really gotten to me. I know it's been a while since I reared a youngster, but have values changed THAT much? I get ticked off at my kids about "ignoring" my grandchild a lot of the time, but if I ever thought they were abusing him I'd jump in the middle of them in a NY minute. Why in the hell didn't the grandparents jump in here if they had a clue that this child wasn't wanted by her mother.

Sorry, but I just never left my child with anyone but his grandparents and a very FEW people (never a babysitter) I knew very well. Most of my friends were the same way. Our social life took second place to our child.

I have a friend in Orlando who's made himself sick over this.

This has nothing to do with the *new* generation or the old *generation* or any *generation* for that matter.  I remember parents who used paragoric (I'm sure that q few of the old timers remember that medicine) to get their kids to sleep (doesn't matter what the reason is).  Hell, parents have used benadryl to put their kids to sleep.  It all has to do with a selfish woman who thought more of her own personal life than she did that of her baby.

I'm glad that you never had you leave your son with sitters.

I didn't have the option.  My mother-in-law (at the time) was a drunk and my Mom lived in a different town.

My sons weren't left with sitters because of my social life.  It was a matter of necessity.  I had to make a living.  There are a lot of us out there in the same boat these days.

There are many, many competent sitters and child care providers out there.  Poor little Caylee would have been better off in there hands.

If her Mother is indeed responsible (and I'm thinking she is) she should be horse whipped and then jailed for the rest of her life.

All Casey's stories were fictional,........no babysitter, no job, etc, prob a pathological liar. She stole money, checks, etc, from those she knew.  When Caylee was missing, she was out partying buying lingerie, getting a tatoo etc.

Her nickname for Caylee was "snot-head"..................cute, huh?

No guesswork here for me.

I dont think Casey & Caylee were living there @ that time, but I could be wrong....................or they were but Casey told them she was @ babysitters....................sounds fishy 2 me

My take on it is that she probably left the little girl in the car and she died from heat exposure. Then she put her in the trunk and went to mom’s house to hit the web for ways to cover it up. (plausable)

I don’t fault her for what happened as much as the indifference and lies to cover it up.

Then again if it was an accident, then why go to such extent to cover it up? I don't even want to know.

If my scenario is correct she traded manslaughter for 2nd degree murder. Not a good trade.

I’m with stoning, but in a civilized world that is considered archaic and gruesome.

The courts will never prove first degree murder so the best she will get is 20 years…

Post mortem cover up Linda…I highly doubt she had chloroform on hand and it was only found in the trunk, not the interior of the car.

I know there are responsible people who keep kids, but there are just so many that are not.

I guess this thing has shook me more than I think - I just can't imagine a MOTHER doing something like this to her child.
