sniff* Kimberly *sniff.I think these East Coasters haven't a clue what were suffering here......*sniff........this could go on for as much as a WEEK! OHHH,THE HUMANITY!!!! *SNIFF...........
noone CAN DRIVE IN THIS STUFF... A TANKER FILLED WITH DE-ICER TURNED OVER HERE!!!!

We are expected to stay in this deep=freeze for another week, with another storm Wed, and one projected to dump a FOOT...a FOOOOOOOOOOOT on Sun!!!
We may not get to have our get-together, Brian, Kimberly............but we'll see.........
Gil's got my Jeep today.........4wheel drive helps......
BUT......pray for a thaw........
we are sposed to board a plane Dec 29th.if mom nature mucks that us, she's gonna be really, REALLY sorry!!!! Angry

Special note for Dennis......Although this thread is VERY tongue-in cheek, I really REALLY hawte that you truly have been dealing with this horrid weather! I cannot imagine trying to stay in my house at such low temps...I would've gone to a hotel- HONEST! You must be pretty strong stock to deal. I fervently HOPE life evens out for you and your family, like NOW, Dennis....

Thanks Barry. So far we are doing ok. I did get food before the storm. But, it is going to stay frozen for a week.

I'm running out of cigs. I may have to fire up the car and make a trek to the store to get some and get some more food. The store is a good hundred yards away, so it will be a treacherous drive for the vital supplies.

We are going to pack supplies for the trip tonight and head out tomorrow. We'll pack food for a couple days and a transistor radio just in case we run off the road and are not found for days.

Keep us in your thoughts.

Seriously. though, there are hundreds of thousands without power right now due to storms, my thoughts out to all of you.

I hope you all know that none of us on the West coast are denegrating ANY of what you w/o power and heat are truly going through in the frozen tundra of Canada, Wi. So. Dakota, No. Dakota and other states that really are in trouble.

Is Portand anything like Seattle when it comes to snow? When we visited out there I always assumed that they got tons of snow and life went on. But it was explained to me that they got barely any snow and the roads were not built to withstand the slipperyness of the wet stuff and they had no plows and if it snowed at all everything shut down big time. If so I feel for you big time.

We are suppose to get 4-6 inches tomorrow from noon to midnight. This is on top of the 10 inches we got last monday. It is suppose to snow off and on all week here. I hope you stay dry.

OMG! Linda...be very careful out there...why, we could LOSE you completely in those snowdrifts!!!!!
Tomorrow, I'm going to do just what I did yesterday and today, get up, put my robe and slippers on.......
Yup-that's about it!

Brian, you and Dianan be very careful venturing out to Freddy's for supplies! Take your cell phone.call me if things get bad......I'll send youi a St Bernard, complete with flask!!!

Lighting a fire in the fireplace, so if we get snowed in, someone might see the smoke signals........

PS-As Linda said, this is soo not intended to denigrate our friends who are actually suffering this weather. Dennis is just now returning to normal, and I KNOW it could be much worse..we're truly just poking fun at ourselves..coz we don't know NUTHIN about surviving in this stuff.....and Mast.I know how to chain up and remove as well....call AAA!!
