Yep, not much chance of a brown Christmas here! As the host house, all I need do is get the 10lb shank ham in the oven by 10am and nurse a cocktail as long as the snow machine stays on the fritz… I’m praying for the fritz thing… Oh and for the head to stay clear!!!

Well whoever had the inside line to the snow machine, thank you for making it stop!!

But, now it's FIFTY DEGREES here and raining.

I'm quite tempted to open my windows and dig out some shorts and a t-shirt.

It's the same here too, Pat.  Rain - warmish - and foggy as all get out.

Seems we can't win.  Now everything is just a mushy mess!

I love needing a boat to get the mail and fire up the wood boiler. Roll Eyes

Now the temp is dropping again and we're under another winter weather advisory.

Geeze. It's 50 degrees up here too and sloppy. Running around in a sweater re-acquainting myself with my neighbors and listening to the water run down the street.

44F and rising to 48F overnight! After all the snow we got and the sub-zero temps, it is now mild and raining hard here and lots more on the way. Back to winter tomorrow evening apparently. Shocked

Barry, I am so sorry your head is hurting! We, too, after all my whining, have begun the great THAW! Now, it's simply wet and sloppy and slippery!!!  We who are unaccustomed to this white stuff would really prefer you keep it where you snow lovers enjoy it! What a PIA!

I never thoughtI'd say this, but it is warm again in Portland..at 47 degrees!

Stay warm and PF gang!

No snow, just lots of rain and wind here.  It did almost reach 70 degrees today.....too bad the rain spoiled it.

I wish it would snow.

Consider yourself whacked with a snowball!!

As of right now we've lost over a foot of snow on the ground.  That's a REALLY good thing because it was getting to the point I had to lift shovels-ful of snow over my head to put it on the snow banks.  At least now we'll have room for more.

And I backed out our vehicles into the rain today in order to "rinse" off the road salt.  We haven't had a break in the weather to get them washed for weeks!

Life sucks in this climate!

Well, the lovely low front moved through last night.  This morning I had to trudge through 2 ft. drifts in order to get to the wood boiler.  Jesse's beautiful snow blowing job is now invisible. Roll Eyes

I love WI, but the weather is nuts. Tongue

Ahh. Low front on the way here and finally some replacement snow.

We were prepared for it with 35 mph winds this afternoon that wiped out some tv this morning. Rats. I love my Sunday pundits. Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

I've got to tell you this story only because it is so absurd.

I just spent the last 6 days in Los Angeles.  When I got there on Monday every single local channel was putting out major warnings about the huge storm they were having.

The weather was in the mid-50's and it drizzled a little bit.  THAT was their huge storm.

When I was visiting in Oakland, 42 years ago, SF tv stations interrupted programs for on the spot reports of a rain storm.  Shocked

Cathi, are ya coming down interstate 5 by chance on your way to Vegas?

You could stop in and see me and Kathy, ya know.   I'd even make you a sandwich a hot cup of chocolate for the road...

Just a thought.

wait....you're probably flying and so scratch that one.   Wave when you're over Redding o.k.?

LOL! Linda, if the plane lands on the 5, I'll call ya!
I used to love to drive to LV when we lived in Valencia...midnight ride across the desert, racing jackrabbits an all.....but now? It'd take us as long to get there as we have all told!

Kimberly, that was my homage to Travelocity! I KNOW you recognize the snow! Doncha think travelocity would like my interpretation of the Travelocity gnome getting around>???? I was going totally BONKERS when I decided to do that!

Mel, it went from the plus's with rain and high winds then back to winter here overnight. Just shoveled the driveway with about 10 inches of snow.
It is probably our cold front that is effecting you, sorry about that! Smiley
