Not particularly beset with the holiday blues here, but I note that there seems to be a unusual quantity of bad Christmas music playing out in Retail Hell this year.

If I have to listen to the Jackson Five singing "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" just one--more--time--I may not be responsible for what happens. Tongue

At least, I haven't heard the Barking Dog Jingle Bells so far. Smiley

I'm in a much better mood, today. I just got home from a forty-mile ride. Temps today started out at 50F, but they are supposed to fall, and we're supposed to get rain all day. It was nice to get out there and ride. This is the first chance I've had in two weeks. The bike ran so beautifully...

I stopped for a smoke and to get gas in the town of Wartrace. A car pulled up and this old decrepit woman extracted herself and started hobbling towards the store. She said, "Boy, that sure is a good lookin' horse!!" And a couple of other people walking into the store said, "Nice bike!"

On the way out of the gas station, the speed limit was 30mph, and about fifty yards down the road, it goes back to 55 mph. I was still in the 30 zone, and there was a state trooper at the intersection as I zoomed past him at 45. I extended my left hand and wiggled my fingers at him, and backed off the throttle at the same time. He waved back, but he didn't look very happy. Oops!

Thanks for that great Christmas Video clip....what a hoot...replay...replay...replay!

I am sending it to all my friends with bikes! ...great find....(i guess i am a little slow finding things here on the forum).

I hope you get feeling better soon.

I like your "wiggled my fingers at him" story...i do not think i would try it here for fear that a Freudian slip of the fingers would occur and only one choice finger would rise in one momentous moment of glory only to cause me one great delay in my travels....oh how i wish police would stick to fighting crime, and lay off middle aged men (in my case) trying to enjoy their mid life crisis (which for me is fast cars)

Thanks for bringing a smile to me today.

Thanks, Jeannie. I was home for scarcely an hour before the rain started again. I'm avoiding the long-range forecast... Looks like more crud is on the way. Whaaaaa.... I've got plans, though. A better intake, re-jet the carburetor, and maybe a new seat... The one I want is $800, though. We'll have to see how good Santa is to me. Wink

Awesome!!! LOL!

There was a lady friend of mine, some years ago, who had hit a deer and totaled her car. Insurance was buying her a brand new car, but all she could do is whine about having hit a deer and wrecking her car. I listened and listened and listened until I grew bored with it.

She finally asked, "Have YOU ever hit a deer?"
I answered, "What, you mean like, in the FACE?"
The line was silent for a long moment and then she exploded, "WHAT is the MATTER with you?!!"

As I was laughing my ass off, the phone clicked. She never called me back and I never called her back, either.
