Happy Chanukah
Dec 21st, 2008 at 11:35am

Today is the first day of Chanukah.

Happy Chanukah to all.  I realize most of you don't celebrate Chanukah, but, nobody's perfect.

Eric, I've got to tell you this one. One of my friends was up here the other day and got to telling me about her 6 year old grandson coming home from school and telling his mother he wanted to celebrate Chanukah. His mother patiently explained that they celebrated Christmas and not Chanukah because they were not Jewish. He kept insisting that He wanted to celebrate Chanukah and she kept explaining to him why they didn't.

This went on for about an hour. He finally yelled at her and said, "Can't we just celebrate Chanukah for ONE Christmas!"  Smiley

Have a happy Chanukah...

Hugs BD

I change religion on pretty much a daily basis depending on which mob has a feast or celebration that might involve free beer. (St Patrick's Day nearly killed me because it overlapped with the Druids and certain Roman/Grecian festivals.)

Just now, with Barbs and Joe in mind, I'm flying the flag for St Arnold but if there's a bar-stool going begging at Chanukah I can be a card-carrying Chanuk by breakfast time.

I'll even bring my own glass and may your celebrations be terrific.

Tried to get on here yesterday to wish you a happy Chanukah in return, but couldn't.  I'm Christian, but celebrate Chanukah along with you.  It is the history of God's hand on His people.  Have a blessed celebration.
