Written last cycle...
Jan 6th, 2009 at 2:50pm

This cycle has been mild. The last time I was hit was around 7:30, Sunday morning. It was persistent enough to drag me out of bed, but nothing like the hits I experienced last year:

Headache wrenched me from the arms of sleep
Sky was too blue too bright too shimmery and
clouds splashed in rose peach gold fractal spirals
The floor the land the horizon all
tilted in wild angles and warping
themselves into spirals too.
Squeezing the heel of my palm against my right eye
gritting back against the razorwire pain uncoiling in my head
I careened down the hallway to get a drink.
The faucet howled and spit black water that slaughtered
into the stark basin.
I looked to the east and dawn lanced my eyes like some
white-hot celestial revenge and
that was the moment that
the sun exploded.

and i hope it stays that way. i'm consistently amazed at the mental capacity of the members of this board. every cycle i go through is a little worse than the last one. the exception is  that now i have understanding support.  pfdan

Man, you hang in there. If you're in cycle now, know that each day brings you closer to the end of it. Each second, each minute of each headache brings you closer to the end of it.

Last cycle was such a bad one... I look over my blog entries for that time period and if I hadn't kept a bit of a headache diary, I would have forgotten. I think the brain can only handle so much pain before it begins to short-circuit the memory and draw the curtain of amnesia over it all.

Always, when a new cycle comes, the first few hard hits just take my breath away at how painful they are. It's like I forget, or something... They catch me by surprise. Hard to believe that anything can hurt so bad.

For whatever reason, this cycle has been so easy, compared to others. The last time I was hit, matter of fact, was a mild hit around 7:30 Sunday morning. Just enough of that pressure sensation to awaken me and make me leave the bed, and after five or ten minutes, it was gone.

Thats beautiful Frank. Mind if I share some of mine here?

In the mirror i look to see who I am,

I'm not sure I like what is reflected in the tainted thin glass

I see not what I am suppose to see

The beauty of a woman in control

The destiny that I am fortold

Who is this person I see

with deep dark secrets hidden in her heart

I need to know her, but from where to start

Is her mind reflected in reality

or blackened by some torid type of beastiality

Some cruel dark secret known to few

Who is this woman, who?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I have a friend who knows me

She knows the Demon I face

This friend, she know me

She knows the race, that I race

She is everything to me

but from a  far away place

She is everything to me

I have never even seen her face

When he comes at night to hurt me

She can be found in our place

When he comes at night to hurt me

From her I don't have to hide my face

She stands beside me

When he comes to play

Always beside me

When I'm on my knees to pray

She doesn't judge me

Never a bad word to say

She loves me

Such a sunlight ray

She knows me

What can I say

She loves me

What else is there to say

I love this friend of mine.

Thank you, I know they are a little corny, but I put them out there anyway. And yes I am lucky, she has been a lifesaver, I suppose you all know what it means to have someone who understands especially if you get very little at home like I do.
