I babysit my 'nephews'. (my cousins' kids, but she and I grew up like sisters so they consider my Mom and I to both be their 'aunts.') My MOm, and Papa/Grandpa go with us. Papa to drive, Mom to watch the kids when I have a cluster.

Well, the first time I missed it was my first day. I was too damned sick. Immdiately little Jose who is 4 knocked it off "Yumi is sick isn't she?"

The next day I came and he asked me if I was all better. This is when our routine developed.

If he notices me getting a cluster, as soon as my eye is swollen shut he ALWAYS asks "Yumi, why your eye gotta always shut up like that?"
"Because I have one of my special headaches."
"It'll get better though?"
"Yes, now go play with aunt Tacy or Papa."

He sometimes will peek into whatever room I'm hiding in to tell me he loves me.

Anyways, Marcos has finally noticed it. He's 1 and a half. I kept trying to figure out why the hell he wanted NOTHING to do with me all of the sudden....

...it was the fact my horner's symptom was lasting for a few hours after the attack. I only found out YESTERDAY because I kept asking him if he wanted to watch a movie, or if he was just playing with the CD book.

"EHHH!!!"*points at my left eye, goes back to doing what he was doing. Recieves the same response for EVERYTHING.*"

I was like "Marcos doesn't like my eye!"
Jose: I love your eye Yumi. It's like Popeye's.

Once my eye was back to normal however, he was fine. He held me, kissed on me etc.

Little Jose also expects my eye to open up when I command it. I'm starting to see a trend here, he believes I can make things happen magically. This would be okay, if it were true.

So, one day Mom had fixed him a corn dog...he decided he wanted the peeling off of it and just wanted to eat the weenie... and so Mom said it was a naked corndog.

"I can see it's butt!"
"Corn dogs don't HAVE butts."
"Yes they do!"

Teaching him the Lord's prayer is a whooole 'nother post. I missed today due to the fact I woke up with a screamer near the time I was supposed to wake up... and wound up dancing around for a few hours.

So little Jose had to ask about his 'Yumi' all day, and Marcos wanted "MINE!!". (If you ask him who I am, that is his response. If you try to call me Yumi to him, he corrects you with 'Mine.")

Whee, the joys of children. And remember, your corn dogs may have butts.
