Trying to avoid a night attack...
Jan 15th, 2009 at 10:23pm

Ok.  I have an appointment with my doctor and hopefully I have all the things in hand get an o2 prescription onMonday, since they don't work tomorrow Sad.  Until then I have to coupe with Treximet.

I know I have a CH attack 1 hour after i go to sleep, doesn't matter what time.  So i was thinking... would it be wise to take the pill (Treximet) before I go to sleep? or should i take it when I actually have the attack.

Thank you in advance.

If you have a Monday appt you don't really have time to try, e.g., melatonin, for it, like other  meds may take several days to try, adjust dose, etc.

Treximet is marketed for migraine; just not suitable for CH.

Sorry to hear you can't get to the doctor until Monday. Cry
If there is any relief at all from taking the Treximet than take it like you are suppose to.

I did try taking treximet prior to going to sleep.  It got me a full nights sleep.

I was getting 3-4 hits per night.  I only tried it once though.  Worth a try.

Good luck with the O2.  It helped me out for 90% of my night hits.
