Top 10 things I learned at LouCon

10.  Most people are in person what they are on the board.  In my experience that isn't always the case on other boards..

9.  What happens at a CH get-together, stays on the internet for all to see.

8.  Sometimes you have to travel 2 miles and make 20 turns to get across the street from a hotel to a chain restaurant.

7.  If a bar is supposed to be open from 5pm to 11pm, just send in a your best negotiator and it will open from 11:30am to 1am.

6.  The "pocket" in PollyPocket should warn you not to play her at pool.  (By the way, never buy it when a young Badger tells you she doesn't play well either).

5.  Never leave your computer unattended especially if you are already logged in.

4.  If it's honking, there's no bonking.

3.  Getting up early at a CH get-together generally means 11am or later.

2.  It doesn't matter who you go with or where you go, you can't do anything or go anywhere with a fellow CHer without some sort of story to tell afterward, inside joke, or Chuck giving a lap dance in a skirt.

1. Family is great to have, but better to spend time with.   People are going to be different, going to have personality differences, and going to be flawed, but they are still family.  I have never spent time with such caring, generous, crazy, loving people before and felt at home almost immediately.  I still don't know if I have all the screen names matched to faces and conversations, but it doesn't matter.    I thank you all for everything.

(A special thanks to all who were part of planning of the different aspects of the event.  I very much appreciate the efforts.  I would list you all, but I know I don't know who did what.)

You've overstayed your welcome since the day we met but it doesn't seem to matter to you.  No medications are your master, nothing makes you fret, it's a helpless feeling having nothing I can do

Framcire, it was a pleasant to meet you. Ruth told me that she enjoyed your conversations. I learned something on how to remember his real name. Framcire....the last 4 letters is his first name backwards. Smiley

I wish I had been able to come...

Except for Chris and Kirk's visit last winter, I haven't anyone since the meet I hosted 2 summers ago when Brew's Band played up here.

I need a clusterhead fix!

Next time I'm staying at the hotel!  I didn't get to spend near enough time with all of you!  It was a great experience though!    You all are an extraordinary group of people!

Love,

Jeannie

I learned that I never need to worry about getting a DUI.   I am not bright enough nor do I have the lung capacity to take a breathalizer!
