Owls should be extinct via natural selection. They like to fly 5-8 feet off the ground and are frequently taken out by cars & trucks. I can't even begin to count the number of times my windshield has been buzzed and that instinctive ducking below the steering wheel when driving to work at O-dark-thirty in the morning.

I admire people who can take good pics so much and in particular Marc and Carolyn. They have both taken pictures that are pure emotion for me, I see them and I can feel the scene they captured. They have both truly encapsulated moments in time and made them immortal. While those emotions exist, while others can see them and feel them - there will always be faith in the human race

Very cool pic. I remember a few years ago I was driving home at night and saw something very large on top of my neighbors mailbox. I stopped and rolled down the window to take a look and a huge owl turned its head and looked at me. My first thought was "I wish I had a camera with me". It didn't fly away, just sat there and stared me down.
