Not sure what you mean by 'startup log'.  You mean you want to see when it was used?

Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Event Viewer.
System Log will show you different system events... from the times of those you can see when it was fired up.

A more direct route to the event viewer...

Start/Run/eventvwr.msc

You've overstayed your welcome since the day we met but it doesn't seem to matter to you.  No medications are your master, nothing makes you fret, it's a helpless feeling having nothing I can do

There are some tasks that happen at shutdown that should be in the logs.   You should see services terminating.
For example...
The Event log service was stopped.
right before a gap in the times on the log.

I have to step out.  I will PM you my cell #.

There is a command you can "RUN" called "msconfig".  You can look at the "startup" tab and see if it begins there.  It is a simple matter of checking or un-checking a box to see if that corrects the problem with the next reboot.

It is a bit more complicated if this is a "service"  for that, you could "RUN" "services.msc", you could probably ignore anything from Microsoft....

Let me know if any of this helped.
