One question I've been meaning to ask, and I can't find a clear answer: My clusters only come on every 18 to 36 months, for four weeks at a time.  By the time I'm in a cluster, it's always too hard to get O2 arranged.  So, I was thinking well after this cycle, and on my way to the next, maybe late 2010, trying to get the O2 from my doc, in preparation.  Does it ever "go bad"?  How long can you keep a tank on hand?

Definately not; I've used welders o2 when I ran out one weekend & that bottle had been sitting in my shed for at least 3 years.

o2 ROCKS

Oxygen does NOT go bad.  It is in a clean container, with no contaminants, so nothing can go bad.

What CAN go bad, though, is the seal, and the oxygen can slowly leak out of the tank, so that when you go to open the valve, it is empty.

Other than it leaking, it is good, virtually, indefinitely.

YAY the new info is great!!

One question: when I click it on the menu I only get that lifegas ad, I had to use the link in your post to get to the page.

Is this just me?

It would be a shame for people to miss this great resource. Smiley
