Oh come on people... where is your entrepreneurial spirit???

This IS america... and we've proven time and again that book rights, movie rights, and endorsements are the rewards of a sideshow hungry audience!!!

I have a wittle itty bitty sneaky hunch that if the litter lives for two years they'll have amassed a trust fund that will have them sitting pretty by the time they reach 18.

Gotta love it

with warm regards,
Tony

If she's going to be a drain on others wallets due to her choice, I have no praises for her.  I also feel bad for all those children. Sad

At today's interest rates, it will take that long to be worth anything!

And then there is that show on TLC about the parents with 8(?) kids... 3 plus the 5 that were born (I can't think of the word for 5 kids at once), I'm sure the $ the show pays them helps support the family.

Yes, and the family with 15 and counting, or however many they have now...

It is common in IVF to implant more than 1 (a friend of mine was having 4 implanted at a time and had 0% success over 4 years & 9 attempts).

I can't believe they said she plans to breast feed them all. She'll be doing nothing else with her whole day, even if she does 2 at a time!  Shocked

The family on TLC is Jon and Kate Plus 8.  The family with so many kids (if it's the one I"m thinking of) is the Duggers and they now have 18 children (and to my knowledge based on what I've read, the Duggers do not and have never received public money of any kind, they are self-supporting), Joshua, Jana & John-David (twins), Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah & Jeremiah (twins), Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer and Jordyn-Grace Makiya,

I am actually torn between two lines of thought here. One being, it's her life, and as long as my taxes aren't paying for it, she can have 32 of the little bastards if she wants.
The other being, what kind of upbringing could these kids have. Something has got to be lacking there. Not enough time there to attend to all of them. She should of left the hospital with 9 packages. 8 babies and her uterus.
Either way, it's a definite, WTF was she thinking.

You know what will make me happy? When cable "news" quits broadcasting these stories all damned day for weeks. I miss the old days when this kind of thing would show up for no more than ten minutes on 60 Minutes...once and if there was new information, it might pop up in sunday suppliments or Life Magazine.

It's turned into one of those stupid CNN Headline stories by Suze Ormand...I'm not sure I have the name right... that waste space on my Time-Warner that I pay for. A few minutes a day if something big happens is all I need. Stupidity shouldn't be national entertainment.

It does get people to watch and buy shit sold by that screaming fat guy all day long though.

Geeze!

ANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD, all her babies were born either by invitro or a sperm donor because she's not married and doesn't have a significant other (and now, what man in his right mind would marry a woman with a gaggle/brood/litter of 14 kids?).

No, I caught an episode of 18 and Counting yesterday and they also have no personal debt. No mortgage, loans. Nothing.

What would make a single woman with 6 children want more? And if she's gone down the IVF route, how did she afford it?

I just hope those babies and the older siblings are cared for and not turned into some kind of circus act.

It makes me damn mad, too....there's no husband, never was- the grandmother was on the news saying her daughter wanted kids since she was a teenager, but never wanted to get married- ALL of these kids have been IVF.   Shocked

The grandmother is furious at the daughter, too (yeah, guess who's taking care of all the rest of 'em!!) and told her that she won't be there when she gets home from the hospital.

Funny thing is, the daughter is supposedly in SCHOOL right now!!  How the HEYALL did she afford all of these treatments???  (A nanny was interviewed and said she once asked, and the girl told her she got PAID....but she didn't elaborate....)  Huh

Some excerpts from that article.

Angela Suleman, who is caring for the first six children — one of whom is autistic — while her daughter is in hospital, said yesterday that she had consulted a psychologist over Nadya’s “obsession with children”.

Nadya Suleman, who describes herself as a “professional student” living off education grants and parental money,

There is something seriously wrong with this picture.
