help I'm an addict
Feb 3rd, 2009 at 10:47pm

I am hooked on Face Book.  A truly amazing thing but one that takes up all my down time when the wife and kids go to bed.    Anyone else have this problem.  I never thought I would be on one of those people.   I need some time away from it

YES!  I am also a Facebook addict. LOL

I have also reconnected with my dad's family and some old high school friends on there, so it has been beneficial. Smiley

I'm not on it as much as I was in the beginning though, as my head hurts if I'm staring at the puter screen for too long.

Kev,  yeah I sure can appreciate that  LOL

My sis and I live (basically) across the street from each other but have 2 totally different lives and are at completely different places in life.

Facebook has helped us find a way to bridge the gaps, get to know each other more and grow closer.

Now if someone could help with my YIM addiction....  Roll Eyes

edit to add:  oh yeah.... I've gotten to know some chick named Mel a little better too..  found out she's pretty cool  Wink

I just got Facebook, but really that into it. Cool thing was, I ran into an old chum from our teens and 20's, lost touch, and he found ME the day I signed up for it. That was cool.

I prefer Myspace though. I have met alot of uber cool people on there from around the world, and with being a radio DJ, it has helped to network with new, unsigned bands. I love the music forums, though back in mid 2007 some rock forum regs started coming into the alternative music forum on myspace and basically caused enough trouble, the mod stood by and did nothing until enough people complained. I stayed out of the fighting mess.

Once we got a new mod every chilled out and they have the A.R.T. - Alternative Music Forum - Round - Table. It is a private group started by the mod, and out of thousands of choices - I wound up being one of the 10 knights of the round table.

So, still iffy with Facebook, but Myspace is for musicheads and the like. I've had people message me saying "I did a search on clusters to see if anyone on here had them and found your page..." that is always cool.

Not to mention, I had a band send me a friend request. Their name? ClusterheaD (spelled just like that). They sent me some tunes to play on the show, but never answered my question as to what inspired the name.

I did catch up with an old friend that I had not seen since I was about 11.   Have conversed with alot of people I would have never even thought of again.  SO it is pretty cool, but I'd rather get back to being addicted to ch.com

Here's what showed up in my local paper about Facebook today.

Not saying you're like this, of course, but be careful out there . . . . .

Any wonder I have a keylogger on my son's computer?

Not yet but I usually don't like signing in places. I should get into it, I suppose. Sounds good from here.
