I'm new, can any one advise re: job loss due to CH
Feb 3rd, 2009 at 10:58pm

Hi- My name is Misty

I have been a CH for 16 years, and am currently going on my 6th month of 2-6 HA/day.
I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota USA - am 44 y/o and single.

I am currently very worried I may soon loose my job due to my frequent HA. I am sooo exhausted lately! I am a dental assistant, and my medication gives me the shakes(not very safe to transfer instruments) I make good money, but I am still not flush with money.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am very grateful for any help I may receive. I found this site a week ago and have already found it to be a true blessing in my life. I thought I was crazy, but now I have found support, and want to say THANKS!!!

Sincerly, Misty

Hi Misty and welcome.

We are all here to help you in any way we can.

What meds are you taking?  Are they for Cluster headaches?  Have you been diagnosed as having clusters?  Do you have oxygen as an abortive?

I know..I know...so many questions,  but if we are to help at all we need to know more.   No one here is a doctor, but I, personally have been chronic for 22 yrs.  Add my years to others here and you can see that we have an accumulated history of experience here.

Please tell us more, maybe we can help you.  If we can't,  you sure have come to the correct place for support.

Linda

Hey there. If I were in your situation, I'd probably talk to my employer and "maybe" arrange that you can take 15-20 min to use 02 when you get hit at work. Just a thought. Your boss is a dentist, he may understand. But like the other post suggestion, if all fails, do the leave.
