Newbie giving and receiving insight!
Feb 16th, 2009 at 12:53pm

Greetings everyone!

I am new here and so glad I found this site.  I began my episodic CH roughly 15 years ago.  They went misdiagnosed for probably about 5 years and were not treated aggressively until about 8 years ago.  My CHs usually begin in Nov or April and last approximately 6 weeks.

My current episode began right before Thanksgiving with very sporadic attacks.  They became more regular in January and go figure when my first child was born on January 28th they decided to go full force.  I am of course of little help to my wife during this time and its really frustrating.  I am hoping the attacks are almost over but who knows.  I am seeing my neurologist for the second time this episode on Tuesday.  I am on verapamil and use immitrex injections and pills to abort the attacks.  I have a little about O2 but now after seeing the info here I am definitely going to persue the discussion with my doc.

The information here has been great so I really appreciate all the insight.  It is so refreshing to be able to discuss CHs with those who know it as more than just a headache.

In a strange bit of irony, I work as a sales rep for one of the companies that manufactures the ONS device that is sometimes use in headache treatment.  If anyone has specific questions for someone like myself just PM me.

Again I am so happy I found this place and I look forward to engaging in sharing info and support--

Just wanted to stop and give you a welcome to ch.com. Sorry you had to find us but as you said, there is a wealth of information here.

We have get togethers and conventions all over the place so maybe one day you can put a face to all these strange people.

Anyway welcome and keep reading. Smiley

Crouchingjedi...I sense a deep seated conflict between martial arts movies and Star Wars....but that's not important... Grin

So glad you found the board, and thanks so much for the offer of being an info conduit. 30 years of dancng with the beast and 02 is still my first and most efficient abortive. Definitely worth a try.

Welcome!

Welcome aboard!

Glad you found us.

I am sure you have already gotten an idea of the wealth of information here.  You have LOTS of reading to do!

You mentioned asking about oxygen ... GREAT idea!

      <----------------------------------
Did you read the link, over there___) about oxygen?  Click on the tab, at your left margin, called oxygen info.  That should answer MOST of your questions about it.  If you don't see the tabs on the left side of your screen (some people don't, for whatever reason) here is the link to it:
Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

Anyhow, glad to have you among us!
