By virtue of disagreeing does that brand me as a "sniper"?
Since the "new rules" have been put in place and seemingly been understood, it is a pretty tame place and I haven't seen this kind of behavior at all. As for before everyone went all "soft" there actually are some people who arrive on the boards who deserved a little scrutiny.

I would agree with the post that you've got too much time on your hands to have come up with such an elaborate explanation of behavior that is no where near as rampant as you seem to describe.

I've never seriously considered leaving the community or "going guest" and have yet to break the rules and get "locked", but this kind of discourse makes me feel about the same way I feel about our country right now. Not too good.... time to step away from the board again for awhile.

Your concern seems to focus on the Getting to know and Meds boards. Understandably. when a Cluster Head finally finds this place it is like an epiphany and they should be welcomed as if a long lost brother or sister has finally found home. That's sacred ground. Know what I mean? I believe that's what DJ ultimately had in mind.

Do I miss the rancor of the days before mods and stricter limits? A little bit.

Yes..but not as much as I miss the people who might have left because things were getting rough.
