Ran into Mr. Armstrong when I was out shooting some pics of the Austin State Capitol building a few weeks ago. He was there to help support some kind of no smoking thing.

I'm not into celebrities but he is a super nice guy - very down to earth.

After chatting with him, I hung around to hear him speak. That guy is good..... I can see why he is popular on the corporate motivational speech circuit.

He's an amazing individual.  Everything he has accomplished and all he has survived is the mark of a true champion.

Love ya,

Not to take away from what he's survived, but I question the things he's accomplished due to being a juicer.

I didn't realize that had been proven.

Proven, no. It hasn't been proven that the octo-mom is a nutcase either. But if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck....

Lots of folks testified that they found boxes, ampules, syringes, etc. around his apartments and training facilities. All on separate occasions under separate circumstances. He also used a drug called erythropoietin, which for years was undetectable, and for which UCI started urine testing in 2001. Armstong gave 5 separate samples in 1999 during the Tour de France which were frozen and subsequently tested positive. But this is a case of "rules is rules."

There's no doubt in my mind that he sought to gain a chemical advantage. Proven or not, to me it diminishes what he accomplished.

Edited to add: I'm not sayin' that he's not a nice guy.
