When I was 6 years old (1952) I'd be sitting on the furnace grate in the kitchen in cold weather waiting for Mom to cook breakfast and listening to Paul Harvey. We loved the guy.

90 years old....not a bad life.

This is a day that I dreaded.  He was unique.  His son may be good, but he will never be his father.

An era has ended.

RIP ...

His style of newscasting without self-agrandizement will be missed.  We have lost a true gentleman.
