Good news, but one D tank? That's good for about 2 attacks, max. You might want to ask them to step it up a little.

I consider myself pretty well stocked, but not as well as some around here. I have two M tanks (one empty, one three-fourths full), six E tanks (three are full), and 6 D tanks (4 are full).

I guess I should call Apria and have them replace the empties.

Step it up a little??? I had an E tank. LOL this thing is huge compared to that. If you could see how big this is in ratio to our apartment you would bust out laughing.
When my other 1/2 gets home from work he is not going to B a very happy camper. The O2 guy said NO SMOKING. He also said that I could not put it in my closet, because there is no ventalation. It's not like I don't open my closet oh, I don't know at least 10 times a day.
Can I get any input about the closet thing from any one ????
Theres really NO ROOM. It is now the elephant in the room.
HELP!

If what you say is true, then you do NOT have a "D" tank.  The "D" tank is SMALLER than an "E" tank.

It is HUGE?  And it needs to vent?  Did they deliver a liquid oxygen tank?  Those are the only ones that need to vent.

Is there anyway you can take a picture of it, and then post it, or email it to me?

Chuck

On the phone the lady said she's sending a "D" tank so Im only going by what I was told. I cannot take a picture, However I printed out the Rx for O2 from this site and this is what they gave me. Im looking @ the invoice & it only says"O2 contents H cylinder 244 C".
The delivery guy said it weighs about 100lbs and it up to my chest & Im 5'7". Does that help????

thanks Deb Cheesy

Maybe there's some miscommunication about the size....?

YUP!  An "H" tank!  KEWL!!!

Thanks, Pepp for the picture!

You will get to LOVE that tank!  If you want to dress it up, I have heard of people that dress it up with some cloth .. Make it into a doll, of sorts.  QUITE a conversation starter!  LOL!

Now to the serious stuff ... What LPM is your regulator?  And what mask do you have?

Listen to the timely plug that MrsDeej put up ... Have you gotten an O2PTIMASKTM yet?  They are worth their weight in gold!  Just go to the ch.com store and you can order it right there.

AND, one of the greatest things are, if any part of your O2PTIMASKTM gets to where it needs replacement, MrsDeej is right there to help you out!

I once had a puppy chew up one of my valves, and then another time, I stepped on the mask, and broke it, so things DO happen to them!  LOL!

When they give you the talk about not smoking within 2 years of turning on the tank and not storing it in the closet smile and nod your head.

After he leaves...it's okay to store the tank in the closet. Just make damned sure you close the valve COMPLETELY  before you put it away. Otherwise it could build up 02 to a dangerous level, and worse, when you go to use your tank...it'll be empty!!!

I'm so happy you got the 02 Deb, hope it proves the miracle abortive for you that it has been for me. Call me if you need a hand getting up and going with it.

Joe

Don't get upset.  I know it's a pain trying to learn all this stuff and getting it all correct.  But you'll be happy once it's all together and you get a hit that get's aborted within 5 minutes with 02.

Hang in there.  You're doing the right thing. Hugs.
