Didn't know I had an audience
Mar 23rd, 2009 at 2:11pm

John and I were across the lake doing some cleaning up and burning brush.  I had grabbed a shovel to plant the weeping willow that had been sitting over there since fall.  Weeping willows can be planted right next to or even in water.  I almost had the hole finished when I hit a root that was being difficult, so I stuck the shovel in the ground and jumped on it with both feet.  The shovel went straight through the root and sunk deep in the mud, leaving me flat on my ass.   Grin  I had no clue my daughter Jackie and her friends were watching me from the dock until I heard sounds of hysterical laughter.  After I was finished, I went over to talk to them and they thanked me for the funniest thing they had ever seen!  Jackie then asked if I could please change clothes since she had more friends coming over.  I guess I was not presentable in my soot and mud covered sweats and tshirt.  Her friends said they thought I looked super sexy.....I think they were being smartasses, but thats why I love them.

Just wanted everyone to have a laugh at my expense.  Grin

Nothing like falling on your ass in front of a bunch of teenagers!   Who knows?   Maybe you looked like a professional mud wrestler!  Some DO find that sexy ya know!
