A little story about Texas
Mar 27th, 2009 at 9:36pm

Good ol' General Santa Anna was hanging out in the valley among his 2000 soldiers that were with him that day. The sun was hot, and the water scarce.

A soldier approached the General and said, "Jeffe, Jeffe, there's a Texas on the hill over there!"

Santa Anna says, " send over 500 soldiers."

Astonished, the soldier obeys. 3 hours go by, and not a word form his soldiers, Santa Anna is worried.

"Send another 1000 soldiers!", he orders. The jaws of the men drop in disbelief.

As the day passes the General sends the last of his troops to see what is going on. Santa Anna is now alone in the valley. Over the ridge he sees one of his soldiers crawling back to camp. Santa Anna runs to his soldier's side and asks, "are you ok"?

The soldier, with his dying breath says, "We've been fooled Jeffe. There were 2 Texans on that hill!"

sweet! West Texas here. Dirt-blowin' Lubbock. IT was 74 today with 40mph winds. The dirt was everywhere. Gotta love it!
