An update on yesterday evening’s events.
After turning off the lights and making my way upstairs, all I could hear was Henry (that’s the dog) in deep slumber and snoring like a pig, you know when they say dogs can sense these things, well Henry didn’t even twitch. Anyway I decided for a quick piddle so I nipped down the landing to the loo and could feel this almost chilly sensation which made me shudder, at this point I thought leave the light on and go for it.
I rushed past the spare bedrooms without looking and stood at the top of the stairs looking down into the darkness and thought; when the alarms on I’ll be alright.
Tapping the digits on the alarm I could still feel this shuddering feeling, by that time getting pretty paranoid I hurried to bed where I lay awake for what felt like an hour waiting and listening for a creak or groan.
The morning came and I relayed what had happened to the wife and she said” that’s happened to me a couple of times in the day”.
Does this mean our ghost’s Bi sexual? I can’t think of anything scarier than a sequined sheeted tiara and high heel wearing ghost, Can you???
Then again our house was built in 1875 and them Victorians were a bit peculiar,

I appear to be tone-deaf to the spirit world. 

I've been to a few places that were allegedly very haunted--an old lighthouse, a tumble-down shack in the deep woods where a lonely old man of peculiar beliefs met his solitary end--but nary a blip on the spirit radar.  Nothing but the smell of mice, and the company of spiders in the shadowed corners.

Except once.

Haven't read it in a long time, but it doesn't seem too bad.     It's got headaches and fly-fishing in it, which is all good.

I changed "cluster headaches" to "migraines" in the story, and altered the symptoms to match.  Too complicated to explain CH in a short piece.  Everybody knows what migraines are.
