I had the best morning.  My Son Roary, his wife Alicia and my Granddaughter Kaelie are staying with us for a few days.  There is a bat infestation in their apartment - 8 of them. Shocked

Got up at 5:30.  Showered, shaved, started coffee, started breakfast for my Son and I.  Fried eggs on toasted Whole Wheat English with a slice of cheese and a slice of Canadian Bacon.  I figure if I'm a good host maybe they won't want to leave  Wink

By the time Roary and I finished breakfast, Kaelie was up for another feeding.  Grampa got the honors.  What a great way to start my day!!!  Not even morning traffic could wipe the smile off my face. Smiley

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to feed an infant first thing in the morning.  I didn’t realize how much I miss it. Cool

Some people were simply born to make lots of babies, and I think you're one of them, Dennis.

Me? I didn't enjoy those early morning feedings. Made my nipples hurt something fierce.

(((HUG))) Dennis, I miss it too. There is no feeling in the world like holding a new born baby and having them look at you with that fierce concentration they have.. and then when they smile at you, WOW. Boom there goes your heart and you never get it back!

I miss babies too.  Smiley

Dennis I know what you mean. I had two of my sisters here in Feb to celebrate my moms 70th. Both brought infants with them. We had a chaotic few days but it was so fun having 2 babies in the house!

I couldn't help with the feedings though. Something about the well gone dry... Wink

Seems that sometimes, even a bat infestation has a silver lining.

I envy you the chance to care for a newborn again.  I miss having small people around--although the bigger ones aren't so bad either.   Wink

Best wishes,

George

And in our case, continue yelling 'til past the age of 17 . . . . . .  Roll Eyes

YUP!!!  Enjoy them while they are young, and you are still smarter than they are ...  And then they grow up, and, heaven forbid, they could turn out like MrsDeej!!
