Stress...!
Apr 9th, 2009 at 9:45pm

I was having a real bad couple of weeks with heavy shadows. The things were with me 24hrs a day couldn't shake them that all. Anyway the last couple of days i started getting real bad pains across my shoulder this on top of the shadows was getting to much. I was getting no sleep at all i thought the pain in the shoulder was related to the shadows. My girlfriend gave me a massage this morning and hey presto totally took away the pain in the shoulder. It was then I realised how stressed out I had become.

Anyway to cut a long story short..! I had some predesilone left over from the start of my cycle. I began a taper of 30mg today and will reduce by 5mg each day until I  finish them off. At this stage I couldn't care less if I get all fat and bloaty, Diabetic and my liver and stomach falls out of my arse. I had no shadows today... Smiley

A beginning to bloat stress free Lefty...!

Stress was one of the hardest things for me to cope with this past cycle.  It made me shadow heavily all day long, and it seemed the only times it didn't was when everyone was gone for the day, which was VERY rare since my husband works swing shift and I have 3 kids ranging from 14 to 1.

Anyway, nay for stress and yay for bloat!  (I think Undecided)

I have a little brother (who is actually my nephew until his grandma adopted him.... long and unhappy story with a very happy ending) who is 7 and he says that adults who are fluffy are the best story tellers since they dont have bones that poke you when you sit in their laps for stories.
Geez what a great kid!!! Since I am the fluffiest, oldest and defend him the most against the others (I am 40) I am his favorite sister. Moral of the story is dont stress over being fluffy.

Stress......Mindfullness Based Meditation....It's simple to learn, but the kicker is that it not that simple to do! Smiley

Doing it since 03.......one of the many things that helped save my life. Was not a good year. Things have improved , I met the Beast in 05 and sure had powerful weapon at my disposal to fight back.

Is that why my jean size keeps going up? ( up to a 28" waist now)
thought it was middle aged spread
Hang on just adjusting my belt,
Don't make em as big as they used to.
suppose its cutbacks in the leather market
This credit crunch is even effecting the farmers now!

A 28" waist doth not a fluffy make.   Wink  Leastways, not where I come from.

Best wishes,

My daughter is astmatic and has used more prednsione than any one should have to. After a 16 month period she gained 30 lbs. Since then I've learned a few tips to stop from getting "fluffy"
Be patient if it happens, rule of thumb is it take a day drug free for every day you've been on it. So if you take it for 10 days expect to take 10 days to get the weight off.
It's alot of water weight so use a diuretic. She used to use dandlion root. You can get them in the health food stores. Fresh veggies and fruit also help alot. Watermelon will flush it out really quick.
Last tip is to watch your salt. Prednisone doubles the salt intake causing the puffiness. Soups and prepackaged soups are real high sodium.
We got these tips from a nutritionist. Once she followed these guide lines she can take prednisone for a short burst with no weight gain. Her doctor said 10 mgs and under usually don't cause side effects .  Not sure I agree with that,

Good luck!

Well I finished off my small taper yesterday and was expecting shadows all day but you know what nothing, not a thing, its the first day since the 12th of Feb ( without meds of course) that I've had a totally clear head. This has definitely been a long weird cycle for me and I hope I haven't put my big foot in it and its not over yet but i feel good and  think I have come out the other end without brain damage again...I think... Undecided

So here's hoping all your cycles come to an end shortly...
