6 weeks and still going strong
Apr 10th, 2009 at 1:30am

Hi all,
its now 6 weeks of this cycle and no end in view, shadowing like a palm tree in the sahara desert every day wich is driving me up the wall. Ive now decided to give the beast a new name as i find its sounds more acceptable for my wife when i talk about my last attack so ive called him SHARON. It seems to take the sting out of it and since Sharon is a bit of a slapper its the only woman i can cheat on my wife with LOL

My Dr in all her wisdom has given me Maxalt 10mg wich melts on the tongue wich works to the point that it kicks Sharons arse back down to 3 or 4 wich is a lot better. I stupidly didnt take one last wednesday as i only had 2 left and its a holiday weekend this weekend and wanted to save them for an emergency attack, Now there was a mistake wich i paid dearly for took a 9 hit. now im fully stocked up for the weekend so let the slapper come and try to take me dancing.

My shadows are a real pain in the arse, red eye, blocked nose, strange burning in my eye socket and skalp, little ants with red hot hight heels running under my skalp and some wierdo pushing a blunt needle out of the back of my head and an evil git who likes to hit me with an electro shocker in my temple about 2-4 times a day for about 5 seconds. add to wich i works shift work in a factory full of idiots the last weeks have been a right scream LOL
apart from that the weather is crap, im allways tired my dogs dead, the house has burnt down, the wifes leaving me and my friends have deserted me.(sounds like a new blues song) roflmao

so off into the next week with the hope that this cycle ends soon and i can get some normality back. thanks to everyone on this site you have helped me get my humour back.
mark in germany.

Well you've still got your sense of humor.........you ain't beat yet! Wink Have you been able to try oxygen yet? Works on shadows as well as the big hits. And are you taking any other preventative medications to reduce the number of hits? Verapamil, lithium, topomax?

Hang in there!!!

Find yourself another doc!
A good doc will tell you "You may have to wait a bit, but get your ass here now!"

i checked that out and started calling numbers
bergmannsheil first, got hold of the specialist who told me "yes youve got the right place but today is my last day" then gave me another number in essen, answering machine, called the same Dr but different clinic, receptionist said " oh yes we deal with cluster and can help but we have an appointment open in august, by the way wich insurance do you have" no i dont have private insurance so no joy after many calls and no joy i lost the motivation and patience now decided to wait for my appointment in june and take all the information from this site and others ive found in german place them in a large folder, roll it up and if my Dr mentions anything about sleep problems, migraines or sinus infection i will beat her with it untill she gets the same level of pain that we all share here LMAO.
ive allso been keeping my headache diary wich is on my laptop wich i will take along, not to show her just so that ive got something really heavy in my hand ROFLMAO.

here is another crazy episode, woke up this morning with a light attack sharon decided to take up the guitar and was playing the opening to the song smoke on the water. my wife got up about one hour later and when i told her what sharon was doing my wife started humming smoke on the water for the next hour. How freaky is that, not only have i got this tune plucking away on my optic nerve ive got my wife humming it in my ear. any one know of a good pschyco hospital i can check into.

Mark (smoke on the water de da de da de daaaa)

well if anyone needed proof that the human race is not able to learn from its own mistakes then i can provide it, whent out yesterday with the wife to the beer garden, i know you can allmost hear the stupiditty of it and low and behold 2 beers into the evening sharon decided to join us. not too bad but she made it clear that it was a mistake, she´s probably tee total lol. however on the plus side i dont complain about hangovers anymore LMAO   Embarrassed

Hi... I'm new to this site. Of course, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't my time in the bull pin with my CH. I feel your pain. I like my cold beer and NOW i must wait.

The bad thing is, I have a planned motorcycle trip to Destination Daytona for a bachelor party in a few weeks I pray I beat this bastard by then. Its been three years since my last visit from this SOB. It seems in the past years that the visits are not as often(was every year) but the pain get more intolerable. Must be from getting older.

Whats more frustrating? The games with Insurance to get my Imetrex in the amounts that I need. Begging doctors for strong pain meds for in between Imetrex or my the look of hoplessness in my wife's eyes as there isn't a damn thing she can do. BLA BLA BLA. I don't need to tell you all. You know. The worst thing is finding a doctor locally that suffers from the same thing so they understand what #11 is on the Kip scale. Cheesy

wife just informed me that im a pratt, CH + beer + hangover will i learn from this experience? if im honest no i think its human nature to continually repeat the same mistakes over and over because come the time i next go out (not for several weeks/months) ill convince myself that Sharon won´t appear and ill be allright. but in my defence im not an inteligent man if i was id be a Dr and find a cure for CH and live a millionares life stile.
i hope you out of cycle soon so you can enjoy a cold one or two and when you wake up with your hangover with your friends moaning and groaning just think you will be the only one laughing LOL Roll Eyes

Mark it will take more than a CH for a scouser to lose his sense of humour...!

Check out all the information on the left and seek advice on any medication that you are on or are hoping to try...

Hang in their pal and hopefully we should get dirty old Sharon under control..!
