Pain in my other eye
Apr 28th, 2009 at 3:56am

This may be just coincidence, but I've just started getting a strange pain in the eye on my non-CH side. It feels bruised, like I've been poked in it, and it waters a bit. This is very different to the classic pains I get in the left side. Could this be another symptom, or is it just a coincidence?
I'll be seeing the doc this week, so I'll mention it. I just wondered if it makes sense to anyone...

Regards,
Neil

Hey there,

I am new around here aswell and I actually also have mild pressure in my other eye when ot having CH.

Say how long are your episodes and remissions? Did it happen when you started treating your CH with meds or you treated them in past too?

Is your CH normaly fixed to one side ?

Mine switches between the two sides. Take my word for it you know if its CH on that side as well.

But as above I am a newbie on the subject, i hope you find the answer to your question.

I've been on 720mg Verapamil for some months now. The pain in the right eye just started this week. It feels like shadows, but not like I get in the left.
Until now, it has always been the left side. I've been chronic for, ohhh, over a year at least, sometimes I may get a day off, but not often.
Mercifully, I don't get real pain now, 3 or 4 at worst, I think. But it's still damned annoying.

Well, I guess I can't claim to be a newbie ...

It sounds like what happened to me, when I first started the side switch.  It wasn't really pain, actually, but just a sort of twitchy feeling, on my right side (I had always been a lefty).  This went on for several months, every now and then, although it got more and more frequent.  It also built more and more like a hit, although VERY light.

Eventually I got to where I am now.  I never know which side I am going to get hit on.  The hit I just got woken up with, and aborted, was a lefty ... Who knows if the next will be a righty or lefty?

I put off the initial feelings as the beast searching around, and checking out his new territory.

But who knows, maybe you just have a pubic hair stuck in it!  LOL

Urrrgh....I've been getting these too.

For the past month or two, I've had it to where I'll sometimes shadow on my right side. I'm a lefty. I'll have right-sided shadows, then get hit in the left eye.

I'm praying it stays left. Wanting to remove ONE eye with a spoon is bad enough, I don't want to start pondering doing the same to my 'good' eye.  Cheesy

As far as I'm concerned, cluster busting has been the best treatment I've tried. No migraines since I started it, and my hits have gotten so much better. Wanna know more?

Hello,
I recognise these symptoms.  I have chronic CH on both sides. CH started in June last year on the left and jumped to the right in september-october.  Now it is travelling around from l to r and vice versa!
Often I feel a very strange sensation on the other side + eye then were I have the heaviest pain.
good luck!
