clusters back...p.s.

Just to show lack of education, yesterday my nurse and doctor told me to deal with it the best I can and maybe the morphine (I take for my back problems) would help bring relief. I told them pain killers DO NOT help CH's, over 20 years with them the only thing that helps me is the prednisone over a couple weeks. I've tried EVERYTHING!! I'm so sick of people not understanding CHs. "Get over it," "Have had them," "You're over-reacting," "Grow up," I've heard them all!! My ex-wife even thought I was crazy until I emailed her Simon's letter and several account descriptions of people who suffer from them. But even after reading those, people still have no idea of the intensity of the pain after one...let alone the fear, depression, etc. of impatiently waiting for the next etc. Cry

Unfortunately the title Cluster Headache can be quite misleading and the vast majority of family, friends, acquaintances and worst of all the offenders the "medical profession" fail to grasp the severity of the pain we suffer and cannot see past the term "
headache
". A couple of members on this forum had the bravery of posting themselves on You Tube taking large hits. If you want  people to have a better understanding of what you are going through, then type in Cluster Headaches on you tube and this will enlighten them to what you are experiencing. Be warned though it does make for uncomfortable viewing....
