I'm back again...

I find myself in need of all you lovely people again. I stopped blogging etc ages ago but have started back up again.

Anywho I was here years ago when I was 1st diagnosed. I remember a lot of you were very kind but fell out of touch with most of you. I find myself needing the reminder that I am not alone!

About me:
I've been a C.H. sufferer for over 9 years and like most of you am DAMN tired of it. I'm a 40+ year old female with two grown kids and plenty to keep me busy with work and home life. I've started a blog again to keep track of my cluster #*%&'s and just to vent, thought of you all and decided to stop by.

I just wanted to say hello again, so...

I too got hit up this a.m. Only once today - so far! It was a 9er though, so I know what you mean about the feeling drained.
What's your treatment? O2?

I hit an 8 tonight and feel like a clumpy puddle.

I have asked him several times, this time though I plan on being a bit more firm about it, since I am having so much trouble with my ins. co. not wanting to fill the Imitrex shots as needed and prescribed.

Aw man, that sucks! I just had to go through a bunch of nonsense myself about getting my O2. Finally got it with NO restrictions thanks to the info from this board and to Chuck for added assistance. Read the oxygen info on the left here and send/take a copy to your neuro.

First, welcome back...sorry the beast found you again, sucks how he always does. Angry

If your neuro keeps fighting you on 02, go to a new neuro. It's enjoying too high a rate of success to have a stubborn doctor, who CAN"T leave his comfort zone, deny you the opportunity. For me it will abort an attack in 6-8 minutes, for one tenth the cost of imitrex, and none of the buggy imitrex side effects!!

So glad you're back, we miss our family when they go away! Smiley

What they said about the O2 -- print out the info and TAKE it to your neuro -- There's been a LOT of stuff on it in the past couple of years. High flow rates DO work for about 70% of us and it's cheaper and a LOT safer than imitrex.

If that doc isn't willing to get into the MODERN century - GET A NEW DOC who is... O2 is where it's AT right now and a lot of us can give him testimonials...

Thanks all for the WW . Unfortunately the beast never left me, so it is always there and lurking. Chronic CH sufferer here.

Thanks for all the great info and yes I did check out the O2 page. My Dr is an hour away so I won't be able to give him early time to look over paper copies, but will stress it to him and leave them with him if he decides he doesn't have time to look them over during our visit.

This is just a quickie post before work so have a PFDAN all!!!
