I Know You'll Understand Me
May 5th, 2009 at 6:24pm

Cheesy

I walked outside this morning and noticed that the grass was a little greener, and the sky a little bluer.  I listened to the radio on the way to work and hummed along to the songs as I went.  I wasn't until I went on my first break the I realized "DUH" NO HEADACHE!!!!!  Yeah, you would think I would have noticed before then, but they are there all the time I work really hard at ignoring them if they are below a level 4.

Anyway back to my story.  I was so excited, and kinda giddy.  I have been in a cycle starting my fourth month.  This is the first day in over a month and a half that I have not woken up with at least the shadow haunting me.  I turned my neck around, looked around, felt my forhead and nope...no shadow following me.  the people at work looked at me funny as I started giggling.  I told them I didn't have a headache, they just said good, maybe it's gone..........they just didn't understand the level of emotion running through me when I said it, but how could they.

Around 3 I sent an email to a friend "$%(*(#$@&$ eyelid droop", I text the same to my partner and started taking hits of the monster energy drink I keep handy to try and hold the beast at bay.  I got funny looks again as I acted like a little kid pouting because he was back again.

All well, I got part of a day out of it anyway...now I keep taking my hits of the energy drink, and wait for the WHAM to come tonight.  Shocked

There is no more important question I can ask than this:

which songs?

Those days are the best! Smiley

It's always a bit amusing to me that it actually does take me some time to figure out why life feels so great and the reason behind that euforia is, naturally, being PF.

It's important to enjoy each PF moment as they come. I do hope that lots of more are on their way for you! Smiley

PF wishes,
Sanna

Thanks everyone.  I got hit last night, but did manage to abort it until late so I was able to go to the bar (watching them drink  Roll Eyes ) and hang out with some friends for an hour before I felt the shadow decending too fast to abort it.  I made it home in time to hit level six.  I take each day at a time, and am learning very quickly to appreciate each PF day or even each 1/2 a PF day.  Grin

ohh...and I was humming to Poker Face by Lady GaGa  Tongue

It's kind of like the guy who would run across the room and kick the wall as hard as he could, then fall to the floor and cry.  He was asked why he did it, and said, "Because it feels so good when it quits hurting!"  There is no better feeling than when you realize you don't hurt!

It amazes me the difference between one day and the next.  If you asked me today if  yesterday was worth what I'm going through now I would say no.  I'd rather have everyday be a 4-5 level day then have any days with no pain and have to face the day after flirting with level 9.  Today is murder, and my happy go lucky chin up attitude is gone.  I wanted to be really bitchy to a person at work who asked if I was having "one of those headaches" because my "eye was doing that thing".....I made a snide remark later that I needed a DUH sign to post...no I just make it droop so I can get the attention that I DO NOT WANT.

I saw the doc again today, and my topomax is being increased again, so is the anti-depressent that he says will help, but also makes me feel hung over in the morning....so will I not only have to live the headaches each day, but I get to be a zombie too....OH YIPP Angry   I see a new neurologist in a little over a week.  Sorry to rant, I definately at the level 9 "why me" stage and have been having my little pitty party off and on all day as the beast spikes through my head.

Thanks for letting me vent, I know by tomorrow I'll be better, just having a really bad/painful/frustrating day today.
