Does the weather trigger or effect your CH attacks?  

I disagree with the Neurologist on the weather triggering my attacks, I can tell by watching the weather report if I’m going to get a bad attack. During an attack period I can tell when one is emanate. When a storm rolls in (Pressure Drop) and when it rolls out the period right after a storm and the new weather pattern sets up (Pressure rise). My Neurologist says there is not any documented proof that weather affects medical conditions, even CH’s.

Has anyone else noticed this?
If you have or have not any ideas how to combat it?

I always had a bad reaction to low pressure systems in the past, but it seems we have morphed into high pressure systems moving in are now a big trigger. 
Bottom line,  yes weather affects CH,, big time!!!

Major fluctuations in the weather can trigger a cycle for me.  For instance:

1.  In 2007, I had a cycle that came on with a vengeance in February.  For most of January 2007, we had warmer than normal temps.  Well, winter came back bigtime in late Jan/early Feb.  During the last week Jan. and the first week of Feb., our temps went from an average of 40F (high for Jan.) to -5 or -10F.  By the first week of Feb. I was having major CH attacks with Kip 8s and Kip 9s, right and left.

2.  Spring 2006 - normally, as an ECH sufferer, I don't get CH in the spring.  Wellll, that was definitely NOT THE CASE during April & May 2006, when I got CH with major attacks oftentimes twice a day (my coworkers sure made enough comments, when they saw me having CH - all relating to dealing with migraines, grrrrr!!!!).  The only thing my Neurologist and I could figure out, was that the weather was bringing them on.  Because during April, our temps wildly fluctuated.  We'd have a few days of 60F and 70F weather, and then temps would drop down to about 30F or 40F.  This didn't just happen over the period of a week.  This cycle of alternating warm and cold temps went on for most of the month of April.  During one of these temperature swings, we went from 70F one day, down to sleet and snow the next day!  The resultant Kip 7 CH (which occurred while I was running errands during my lunch break) was such a joy!!!

3.  The present cycle I'm in - this cycle started in March.  I've never had CH in March.  Once again, as in instance #2, during March and part of April, we were going through major temperature fluctuations.  Luckily, it seems to be settling down bit by bit (lately I'm only getting hit with minor attacks).

Weather doesn't play a role in CH - yeah, right!!!!!!

Yep, Chuckles is right -- I'm a better weather predictor than that nice man on TV. Can call a storm the day before -- just let the barometer start doing its thing and my O2 tank gets a workout for sure.

And right now it's going to rain down here in East Texas..... my tomatoes love it but my head is a mess....
