We had planned on some BBQ Brats and hot dogs after today's ride but ended up at Boston Pizza. Ok food and great laugh's with our friends, but damn I wanted them Johnsonville brats so bad! (Hot Italian)

We (me and the boys) - no dinner, wouldn’t know what to do or how to do.......

Marta (my wife) had left me (again), so we most likely will have food out of the freezer,
not that I know how to start the oven or Micro, better just peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and I am still looking for the dishwasher manual, No - (better) Ill just let every thing stand....

until Marta will be home, she is gone for a week to Frankfurt for a pharma congress......

I bet she will be happy to come home...... it will look like a........ war zone..... wonder, where did she put the Hoover and the cleaning box...... or can I use a sop bar to wash every thing..... Oh well I give up...... peanut butter and jelly sandwich all week no plats just utility towels.....

Michael, it sounds like a valid plan to me!  If Marta did not want to come home to a disaster in her kitchen, then she should have arranged for a meal to be delivered to you guys, every day ...

It is all Marta's fault, by my way of looking at it ...

Chuck

(I sure hope Marta does not read the board, or I am a dead duck!!)

(I am SURE I can trust all of you to keep mum about this, to Marta ...)

For a real treat, smear some butter on the OUTSIDE of those PB&J sandwiches and toast them in a frying pan over medium-low heat until they're golden brown.

Your boys will think you're a chef.

BBQ from Sunday. And, I drank beer in its preparation.

Cycle over...unless drinking beer ...while BBQ'in cycle...at the same time will not trigger.  I'm good! Hell, I'm drinking now...can anybody tell?

Don't answer that.

Shortest, most uneventful cycle ever.

Feelin' your pain Helen. The worst tasting 2nd time round are yoghurt and weetabix. Don't even go there...  Sad

I'm going to make a lasagna with caesar salad and garlic bread for my hard-working honey (who has done EVERYTHING at home for the last 4 weeks while I was sick). It'll be the first meal I've cooked in weeks, so it should be a nice treat for him to come home to a nice dinner.

Excellent! Glad it worked out for you and the boys.

I'm 48 years old and I still love grilled PB&J! Nothing better with an ice cold glass of milk!

Edited to add: Michael, now that you've got the basic technique down, all you have to do is alter the contents. Elvis' favorite was grilled peanut butter, banana, and marshmallow fluff. Or you can do grilled cheese with salami, ham, or bacon. Or I bet banana and Nutella would be outstanding, too.

GRRR! MEN!
Ladies! Imagine, after a week of fried PBnJ's, just what that frying pan is gonna look like! Shocked Sad
Here's my 2 cents worth.........add potato chips to your PBnJ, and, if you insist upon frying those things. stop by the kitchen stor and buy Marta a new frying pan!
The chips are indeed a nice cruch added to the sammich!
CRUNCH! cathi Cheesy

BTW-To Stevee.......NIIICE! Uneventful cycle.....let's see ya do it again, ok?

Helen, my Limeygirl......why you sound as preggers as Em........ but I know you're not. Can you at least do some nice wheatbread....fine milled, goes down easily, and will line your poor tender stomach?

Had grilled ribeyes night before last.  Mac and cheese (homemade version) last night.

Don't know about tonight.  I'll consult with the kid and see what she wants to eat.

All this talk about bussketti sorta puts me in mind of it, though...I'll float that notion and see whether it sinks or swims.  Bet I can get her to go for it if I tell her I'll make garlic toast.

Best,

George

Tonight is Eli's choice as Lily is gone for a trip overnight at the Lions Camp through school.  He can pick pizza, spaghettios or a PB&J.  I'm having leftovers from lunch, which was Wanchai Ferry Spicy Garlic Chicken meal (with Jasmine rice, bamboo shoots & water chestnuts, YUMMY!).
