For those of the Jewish persuasion
May 11th, 2009 at 2:19am

I know there are many, on this site, of the Jewish persuasion, and those that are interested in the traditions and beliefs of those that are followers of the faith.

Well, after exhaustive research and reading, I came up with the following answer to the question:

Is it PERMITTED to take Viagra on Shabbat?

One Rabbi says that Jewish law forbids the ingestion of Viagra on Shabbat, lest one violate the infraction of erecting a structure on the Sabbath.

But another Rabbi says that as a medication that adds pleasure to the Sabbath (not to mention the rest of the week), it is permissible. But it is banned during Pesach (Passover) - along with all other agents causing things to rise.

And what blessing does one say before taking the Viagra pill?

There is a choice of 3 blessings:

·
Baruch Ataw Adonai zokeif k'fuffim
– Blessed art Thou, O Lord our G_d, for straightening those who are bent;

·
Ya'ale v'yavo
- arise and come;

·
Baruch Ataw Adonai mechaye hametim
– Blessed art Thou, O Lord our G_d for raising the dead

BUT, the learned scholars are still investigating if there is an acceptable precedence for performing oral sex on a man.  After all, there IS the restriction of combining meat with dairy ...

Grin
Considering it's a mitzvah to knock boots on shabbat I think it would be ok.
But then again we are not supposed to work
so maybe a quickie is more along the lines

I can't believe that I have to bang my Head against this wall again. But the blows they have just a little more Space in-between them. Gonna take a breath and try again.

Is it possible to be momentarily a Christian?

Say as many Our Father's and Hail Mary's as you think necessary. Should it involve multiple orgasm, double the penance.

Good luck Chuck. Your everlasting Soul depends on it.

OMG! I  never knew one had to be PERSUADED to become Jewish............I knew converting was not easy, but....
Guess I simply didn't date such persuasive men, hmm........'
I did date a man who's last name was Tuch(pronounced "toosh")... he had a brother who liked to torment me.  At dinner one night, Dave's Brother asked what  we were doing after dinner. Dave told him we planned to go for a drive. Dave's brother began to laugh, and he finally said "oh, you're going in a rickshaw with a shiksa?"
Dave's family thought they were funny. Dave had an uncle named Harry(Tuch), who had a boat he called "The Leaky"(Tuch>).Uncle Harry was (of course) a proctologist.and Dave intended to name his first born female Ophelia(TUCH?)
I grew up nicknamed Chatty Cathi.......I never even considered being Chatty Tuch!

It's MY story, and I'm sticking to it!

Happy Pesach, one and all,
Cathi Cheesy

PS-AND  the less I know of Chuck's love life, the more emotionally healthy I'll be!
