One of the best medicines...

This has been put in several threads, but here it is in it's own thread...

MEET ANOTHER CLUSTERHEAD!!!

Look at where we're from - it's under our names (at least on most of us) and find someone close to you (or within driving distance). Set up a MEET and GREET at a restaurant or somewhere - ok do it in a PUBLIC place because you're probably a little scared to meet a "stranger" (yeah yeah I know)..

Then put on a brave face and go meet that stranger. It takes an average of about 5 seconds for that stranger to become a friend. Trust me on this one - it's just not something that can be explained, but it just happens.

The first clusterhead I met was an idiot by the name of Drummer in Rochester NY. A few of us "brave" clusterheads" from ch.com decided to meet in person and flew to NY for a meeting. Drummer met me at the airport. (Did I mention that my family had thrown a fitt about me going off to meet axe murderers - people I'd met on the internet?). Back in 99 we didn't post pictures on Ch.com and I had no idea what Drummer looked like - only that he was 30ish, 6ft tall, blonde and that's about it. And he knew nothing about me (I told him I was a 29 year old blode with a gorgeous figure). But the funny thing is, I recognized him across a crowded airport (and he had his back to me at the time). The others were the same - it was instant recognition and we formed a bond immediately. I forgot to even call my kids and tell them I was alive - I was having way too much fun that week.

Since that time, I've met so many clusterheads I've lost count, but I've NEVER missed an opportunity, nor have I had any apprehension about meeting anyone at anytime (unfortunately almost everyone on this website now KNOWS I'm not a 29 year old blonde with a gorgeous figure, but a gray haired old grouch with and an "ample" figure- bless your little heart Chuck!).

But once you meet your first Clusterhead, you KNOW for certain you are NOT alone with this malady any longer and it gives you a feeling you just have to experience.

Even if you can't get to a convention (and they're well worth the time, money and effort) just a lunch or dinner with another person with clusters is worth the time and effort it takes.

I've yet to meet an axe murderer and even my son (the paranoid child) has met a few of my "friends" and has loosened up somewhat about "MOM" going off to meet those "strangers". When I invited some of those "people" to the house (BUT MOM YOU'VE NEVER MET THESE PEOPLE AND YOU INVITED THEM TO THE HOUSE!!!) he showed up to "protect" me and ended up having a great time and even admitted they were a nice bunch of people. He just can't understand how people who've never met can become so friendly and talk non-stop for hours. And I can't explain it to him -- and you won't be able to either - it's just a mystery that happens to clusterheads.

So please, if you're new to this board, take the time and try to meet another clusterhead.

Have to second that motion. After you're first one, you'll be a pathetic addict like the rest of us. Truly an unforgettable experience!

"Somebody had to say it" is usually a piss poor excuse to be mean.

I found out after telling my suprvisor in work that some one else has Ch but on a different shift. He wouldnŽt give me the name but i told him to tell the other guy about me and that i would be most willing to talk to him however my supervisor is a complete dick and untill now hasnŽt done anything. IŽll get on to him today about it and see if i can get the ball rolling.
i am thinking about coming over the lake for one of the meets in the future just need the ok from she who must be obeyed (wife)

Put a note on the bulletin board at work, "Clusterhead looking to meet his alter-ego" Call XXX-XXX-XXXX for an unforgettable experience"

Bet that would get some ACTION! Grin
