until Sarah graduates with her Masters' Degree in History!  She has a friend that's flying in from NYC and another that is driving in from Austin to see her graduate tomorrow.  I am so very proud of her.  She has fought many battles (including 8 surgeries over the past 7 years) to get this far and to my knowledge has not considered *giving up* as an option (or if she did, she didn't tell mama about it).

She will graduate with a 3.5 GPA and memberships in Phi Kappa Phi (The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society. Standards for election are extremely high. Membership is by invitation only to the top 7.5 percent of second-semester juniors and the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students.)  and Phi Alpha Theta (professional history fraternity).

Hopefully she will get to attend convention wtih me.  She plans on spending a year in South Korea teaching ESL (English as a second languare).  The recruiter from South Korea is really making an all out effort to work with her on timelines.  After that, she plans on applying with the State Department (expecially since she found out that Korean is one of their high needs languages).

Proud Mama

And I want to get pics!  Unfortunately, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how the damned hood fits!  So hopefully, I'll be able to get her after the ceremony.

Now we get to teach a Yankee the proper way to eat mudbugs

Hope to see her, along with her Mama, in St. Louis.

Give Sarah a great big wet kiss and huge hug and tell her I said a big time congrats on all her hard work and her achievement!!  You have a right to be proud Mama, and so does she - that's quite an accomplishment on its' own let alone with all the challenges overcome.

Good on ya Sarah!!

Congratulations, Sarah.  You've achieved a major goal in your life and now your future can be anything you want to make of it.   It sounds like you've already begun!

And congratulations to Carolyn and Jimbo.  You've done your job extremely well.  Of course you're proud.  You deserve it.

Hers did not come with directions!  I have some pics, but, unfortunately, over half of them didn't turn out.  So, she and I are going to head to the park one day and do a photoshoot.  Here is what I do have.  She has an interview tonight with a school in South Korea!

Waiting until she walks
